Problem while builing xymon 4.3.0 beta 2 client on Solaris 10

Hello, When I try to compile the client with gmake -s or gmake, even if I use command line I have the following result. I had some problems to compile the server but not this one : Could you help me ? PORT check based on running PROC

How do I do PORT tests as a condition to running PROC ? In other words do the PORT test and alert me only if PROC A is running. Hello All; My bb-hosts file does not actually contain much in terms of hosts, or IP addresses, instead I've opted to use "dispinclude" statements which inject data in the "IP-ADDRESS HOSTNAME" format. The problem is that it either does not work at all, or just works on just the second "dispinclude" for the same file. I.e., I am using "includes/S1/s1wintelAD.txt" in two locations below. Are my statements missing something? Do I have my order incorrect perhaps? Hi everyone, In our journey towards completely and successfully deploying Xymon on our machines we've come over this situation: we want to have an alert coming to us if the duration is over 30 minutes between 0800 and 2259 AND every 60 minutes between 2300 and 0759 the next day. They need to be repeated every 120 minutes in both cases. The following group of 3 rules obviously covers what we want to accomplish, right? --- cut here --- MAIL email at recipient.tld DURATION>60 REPEAT=120 RECOVERED NOTICE TIME=*:0000:0759 MAIL email at recipient.tld DURATION>30 REPEAT=120 RECOVERED NOTICE TIME=*:0800:2259 MAIL email at recipient.tld DURATION>60 REPEAT=120 RECOVERED NOTICE TIME=*:2300:2359 --- and here --- However, we're looking to write the most simple set of rules that would cover our requirements and would therefore welcome your answers regarding the following possible variants: 1. rrd 10 minute intervals

I have a custom check that I have integrated into xymon. The data for the check I want to graph using NCV/RRDtool as COUNTER/DERIVE data (as it is an ever increasing number) Problem I am having is that the data is only updated every 10 minutes. I configured the graph in /etc/xymon/hobbitgraph.d/somegraph.cfg - you can see I added the --step 600 option. The data in the rrd file does not tie up though from the rrdtool dump. "absolute values" in RRD graph

Hi, I want to get statistics about up/down time on our Solaris cluster in a graph form. I would like to see 4 states in a graph. 3 - UP 2 - FAILED OVER 1 - PLANNED DOWNTIME 0 - DOWN I got the cluster script that reports these states to BB or Xymon. But I can't find a way to do the graph. RRD graphs seems to always average out data. The problem is that I want to report the absolute values and not the averaged out data that seems to be default. For instance if the cluster is DOWN ( 0 ) for 10 minutes I would like that state to remain and not to averaged out to 2.5 after an hour. Is this possible? - Roland
