How to list a host multiple times in bb-hosts properly

Ok, next question. I have a machine that I wish to appear on multiple pages. So I list it more than once in bb-hosts. First time, I list it this way: group-only bbd|bbgen|bbtest|hobbitd|rsync Hobbit Monitoring Server 123.123.123.123 123.123.123.123 # BBPAGER BBNET BBDISPLAY bbd noconn rsync Then I list it this way: page game-servers Main Game Server Boxes. group-except bbd|bbgen|bbtest|hobbitd|rsync 123.123.123.123 123.123.123.123 # ftp !telnet !smtp ssh ntp prefer badconn:1:2:4 (Note: this is just the first server of many that I will need to do that to.) Yet, hobbit gives me a yellow box for the bbtest column and displays this message: Error output: Host 123.123.123.123 appears twice in bb-hosts! Setup default settings for all hosts in bb-hosts

Ok, I read the docs and they say to setup default tags for all hosts, use the host of .default. Ping tests and alerts

Is there any way to modify the ping tests to only go red if a server is not responding to ping tests for more than 15 minutes? Some of the servers I need to test are on the west coast and sometimes don't respond right away to the first ping due to net conditions. I only want it to go red if it's been down for longer than 15 minutes. P.S. client disk graph differences

I don't know if any else had noticed this, but I just started experimenting with the hobbit client in 4.1.2. I've found that the Hobbit server generates the disk RRD graphs in seperate graphs of 4 filesystems each. Which is a behavior I'd like to use in some of my custom graphs, but I don't see how to set that. But, on the server with the new Hobbit client, all of the filesystems are thrown into one big graph. With over 40 filesystems on this one server, the graph isn't too usefull. Is there a setting somewhere to tell Hobbit to split up X rrd files into seperate graphs?

upgrade to 4.1.2 breaks netapp qtree graphing

Upgraded from hobbit 4.0.4 -> 4.1.2 and hit my first bug: the data collected from my filerstats2bb.pl ext script, which gets data from my NetApp filer and allows me to graph the qtrees, volumes & inodes, no longer works. The data collection still works fine, as well as the display of the results, but only one the first qtree/inode/disk is graphed. The rest are not. hobbitgraph.cfg definitions are still the same as before, so I poked around the hobbitd/rrd/do_disk.c and compared it to the one used in 4.0.4, but I think that is working well since it populates the rrd files...? hobbitgraph.c is where I should look, right? I'm kinda lost here, and of course we need to see our filer graphs to check on a problem, which is how a co-worker disovered the bug in the first place! Tom

For some strange reason, hobbit just stopped working a few days ago. Client data was no longer being reported and all alerts went purple. I searched through the archives and only came up with a few results, but there didn't really seem to be anything that solved the problem. Hi ! If I have 2 display servers and 1 paging server, how can I have both display servers show the ack'ed alarm ? BR Thomas
