Using Firefox 1.0.7 to view bb2.rss seems to have stopped working when I upgraded to 4.2. I am running a snapshot from 04-25-06. I tried Firefox 1.5 and that didn't work either. AKregator is able to read in the alerts OK for bb2.rss. I just added --rss to my 4.1.2 production server and it works. I don't see anything obviously wrong with the format of the .rss files. Can anyone confirm this behavior with Firefox and 4.2? hobbitlaunch.cfg: CMD bbgen $BBGENOPTS --report --rss --max-eventtime=1440 I tried --rssversion={0.91|0.92|1.0|2.0} but none of the versions seems to work. So as Francesco mentioned, you should fetch the status with the hobbitdboard command. Something like this would do it: bb 127.0.0.1 "hobbitdboard color=red,yellow,purple,green test=conn fields=color" | sort | uniq -c On one of my systems this yields: 1416 green 68 purple 143 red Sounds like what the original poster wanted. Need for a report

I have what I think is a simple request, and I'm wondering the best way to go about it. Basically, I need to be able to run a report(in html) that says "I have to run 1000 conn tests. Of those, 11 is red, 9 are yellow, 0 are purple, 990 are green." Additionally, I will need to be able to add additional tests to this, but the immediate need is for connectivity tests. Is there a way to get this information easily, or will I need to collect and parse the historical data to get this? The bbgen test already gives me overall purple tests. BBWIN 0.7 error

Just upgrade to BBWIN 0.7. Hi, I have a problem with accessing hobbit-files. In the browser, I write the following: http://server_name/hobbit/ I get the message: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /hobbit/index.html on this server. I have done chmod 555 to /usr/local/hobbit/server/www/bb.html So the webpage works. Some seconds later, I have the same problem and the permission to the file /usr/local/hobbit/server/www/bb.html are back to -rw-r----- On the server, sun solaris 9 is running. Has someone a solution? Hobbit vs Nagios

Hey guys, As much as I dont want to move away from Hobbit/Big Brother I have been asked to compare Hobbit to Nagios. I would imagine quite a number of people on this list have experienced many of the offerings out theere before changing to hobbit or using a combination of products. I've done a quick google and there is a bit of stuff out there but obviously the more the merrier. So yeah pros cons from all aspects would be quite welcome and perhaps the results could be stuck up on the Wiki somewhere Cheers Allan
