Hi Henrik I think it may be useful to display under the 'info' column which Hobbit client version is running on a host, something like this : Hostname: hades OS: Gentoo Base System version 1.6.14 Linux hades 2.6.14.2 i686 IP: 10.50.80.10 Hobbit client : Hobbit version 4.2-beta-20060605 Attached is a small patch against the latest snapshot. hostdata problem

Hi, I have set up the hostdata feature on my hobbit server - hobbit-4.2-beta (AIX 5.2) but get errors in hostdata.log when it tries to save the data prior to a status change. hostdata.log : 2006-06-08 11:29:12 Cannot create file /tru2407/1149762298: No such file or directory hobbitlaunch.cfg : [hobbitd] HEARTBEAT ENVFILE /usr/local/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg CMD hobbitd --pidfile=$BBSERVERLOGS/hobbitd.pid --restart=$BBTMP/hobbitd.chk --checkpoint-file=$BBTMP/hobbitd.chk --checkpoint-interval=600 --log=$BBSERVERLOGS/hobbitd.log --store-clientlogs=!msgs --admin-senders=127.0.0.1,$BBSERVERIP . PORTS monitoring question

I'm trying to make that darn white ports dot go away (until Henrik adds the "noports" option) on my freshly installed hobbit server (latest snapshot). Hobbit client, exempt disks?

Erm, how do you exempt disks from being detected in the client? Its detected the network mount (a backup drive) as a disk and is logging it! badconn test questions.

Can I : badconn:::4 so it goes red if it fails 4 times. Also on the badconn test using: badconn:1:2:4 When, timewise do each trigger? That is one failure clear next test(yellow) is made how many minutes later? red after how long? Im having problems with some of my network stuff, goes red then green over a 5 to15 min period, but sometimes ok for an hour or so. Alternate Pagesets

Hi. I'm trying to setup a Hobbit configuration so that I can monitor groups of servers for my clients and then give them access to a page with just their own servers on them. I've done this in the past and just password protected the specific directory (page) that I didn't want anyone else to go to but now I want the client who logs in to ONLY see their own data... as though it was their own instance of Hobbit. If I just use subpages it works okay except that the user can go ti "Views" --> "Main View" an see every one else's information. So that won't work for privacy reasons. So I searched far and wide and found the topic of "Alternate Pagesets". I set that up and it looked fine at first but didn't seem much different than just subpages because they could still go to "Views" ---> "Main View" and see everyone's information again. So that didn't do the trick. My ultimate goal is to look like each client has their own hobbit setup where the client can do Availability reports and look at the Non-Green Views. So my questions are: 1. Am I setting up Alternate Pagesets wrong? Can Alternate Pagesets do what I want? 2. If not, then how can I achieve what I want without creating different instances of Hobbit.
