Hi, I've been using Hobbit 4.2 on my FreeBSD box for a week now and It works just fine :) Now, I'm wondering to monitor processes on my boxe. For that achievement, I just add those lines to the ~/client/etc/hobbitclient.cfg : HOST=xx.yy.zz PROC server_linux I restarted hobbit server and all clients, but hobbit does not take this parameter... It says me that I have "no process checks defined"... Is my configuration false? Thanks. PS : I also tried to add theses lines to the ~/client/etc/localclient.cfg without success...

Upgrading Hobbit

I attempting to determine the best method to upgrade my hobbit 4.2-alpha-20060527 to the 4.2 version w/o losing history and keeping monitoring disruption to a minimum. I checked the hobbitserver.cfg file on the server and found the following parm: BBMAXMSGSPERCOMBO="100" Is this what you were referring to. I am getting the following alert from hobbit 4.2.0: yellow Fri Jun 8 10:53:36 EDT 2007 - Filesystems NOT ok &red Expected strings (Capacity and Mounted) not found in df output When I look at the output from the client the df output is missing. 4.2.0 problem with "Snapshot Report"

I've been trying to get the "Snapshot Report" feature to work correctly, but no matter what date I use for the report, when I click on "Generate Report", I get a blank page with only "Cannot create output directory" as its contents. I checked the apache logs and can't find any information about this. Any ideas?

Feature Request: info column should show dependencies

It would be nice if the info column showed what hosts/services that the host depends on (assuming the depends flag was used). Thank you for having the dependency option, it's quite useful! -Charles

stand-by hobbit

First, many thanks for creating and maintaning Hobbit, a first-class product !!! Got a question about running a stand-by (or secondary) hobbit server, let say, I'm not ready/prepare to run a linux cluster, and would like a backup server, just in case the primary server, serverA, is down (due to failure or maintenance). Small bug in hobbitgraph.cfg

Hi, I just got bitten by the lack of dot-escaping in the FNPATTERN definitions in hobbitgraph.cfg. Lines like: FNPATTERN ports.(.+).rrd should read: FNPATTERN ports\.(.+)\.rrd I happen to have a "portswho" status that creates rrd files like "portswho,hostname-proto-tcpstate.rrd" (it's like ports but plots individual source hosts rather than a total), so the first FNPATTERN matches, and breaks the graph.
