Hi, All This is a question we got asked a lot when trying to deploy a xymon/hobbit client onto a production system. How much system resource(cpu/memory) will xymon/hobbit client consumes ? Any one has a script or C program on doing this measurement ? Procedure: 1. Deploy xymon client 2. Run this program for 3 days. 3. Here is the report of xymon cpu/memory usage for past 3 days. I am interested to tackle this task but hopefully some one already did this work and willing to share. Regards tj -- T.J. Yang

I used to use QPAGE as well, but ATT Wireless took away that function. They like to charge for BOTH sending AND receiving text messages, so I have a pair of serial port GSM modems to send text messages. Visiting Florida (USA) in March, any Xymon users who want to meet up ?

Hi, some Xymon users occasionally ask me if some kind of get-together could be arranged so they can meet me IRL - and perhaps also meet with some other Xymon users. I will be in Florida next year in the beginning on March - most of the time in Orlando, but I may also go to Miami for a few days. still no luck. Does anyone have the proper attribues for on Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 SSLINCDIR = -I/usr/bin SSLLIBS = -L/usr/include/openssl/ -lssl -lcrypto RPATHVAL += /usr/include/openssl/ The above doesn't seem to do the trick. I even tried ./configure.server --sslinclude /usr/include/openssl --ssllib /usr/lib/ both times configured , make and make install on a new xymon folder, nothing. First ext service side test

Writing my first server site ext script. I can tag entries in bb-hosts and loop through them with bbhostgrep. Question: Can I access the latest client data for each host I find, and if so, can you point me in the right direction?

Re-add a dropped test

So I removed a test from bb host and the columns would not disappear. At this point I did the bb drop command and they went away. Now I want to add them back and when I add them back into the bb host file they won't appear. Is there a cmd to Un-drop a test or a file I can edit which lists drop tests?

So at first I compiled Xymon with no SSL. Then I re compiled it over the existing xymon (I made sure it is shutdown first) with the following in the Makefile . the configure.server added the below flags: (Ubuntu 10.04) # OpenSSL settings SSLFLAGS = -DHAVE_OPENSSL=1 SSLINCDIR = -I/usr/bin SSLLIBS = -L/usr/include/openssl/ -lssl -lcrypto RPATHVAL += /usr/include/openssl/ How can I tell if it was successful? When I added the following to the hosts.cfg file; <ip> hostname # ssh https://mydomain.com ssh-tunnel I get the following in the xymon status page: = https://mydomain.com/ - Connected, but got empty response = this is in the 'http' category. should there be an 'https' category added? Is there a way I can surely tell that the Xymon compiled installation has full openssl support? TIA!

Procs not reporting
