Henrik, Thanks for the reply, doing what you stated I was seeing the expected HTML output in the command line, the only thing that changed on Friday was I re-did the hosts.cfg. My co-worker and I both reviewed it and we didn't see any errors in that that config file, but we made the decision to restore back to a copy from a couple of weeks ago. After doing that everything is working correctly again. One last question is there a way to parse the hosts.cfg for errors, maybe I have some erroneous character or escape/control sequence in there we are not seeing. CGI Scripts coredumping

Over the weekend the xymon CGI scripts seem to have started to coredump. In the Web server logs I see this... [Mon Jun 24 10:19:27 2013] [error] [client 10.133.24.119] Premature end of script headers: svcstatus.sh, referer: http://monaix/xymon/nongreen.html [Mon Jun 24 10:39:38 2013] [error] [client 10.133.24.119] Premature end of script headers: enadis.sh, referer: http://monaix/xymon-cgi/report.sh In the cgi-bin and cgi-secure directories I see a core file which references the actual C cgi apps, when I try to run gdb backtrace it just tells me signal 4, illegal instruction, I assume It has no more info since there are no symbols. I am really at a loss for what would have started to cause this happen, can anyone provide some insight or direction? non-green view shows purple status

All non-green view shows purple status for one of my custom column. But when I click on it, then it shows green and I see the date & time is updated on browser which mean that the data is receiving on time at xymon end. I need to drop that column and then it comes back to green again. Where should I look to avoid drop always which deletes the history also.

rrd network graphs on windows check

Hello, Since january 2012 I continued the development of an alternative windows monitoring agent that is based on the Nagios client NSCient++ See the checkwin monitor in Xymonton or http://code.google.com/p/checkwin/ I would like to add some network statistics the same way as we have in the BBWin client. I wrote the script that captures the inbound and outbound traffic values through the "netstat -e" command but I don't know how I have to load it to the Xymon server. In the source code I found the "do_ifstat.c" module In which I could find the code /* IP Ibytes Obytes */ /* 192.168.0.1 1818 1802 */ static const char *ifstat_bbwin_exprs[] = { "^([a-zA-Z0-9.:]+)\\s+([0-9]+)\\s+([0-9]+)" }; Can someone explain me to which xymon test I should post my ifstat info? I see that the network graphics are only visible in the trends but I don't find what is expected by xymon to generate the rrd files. No data in graph for INTERVAL 10

**If i make the "INTERVAL 10" to a custom sctipt clientlaunch.cfg on client side. Then graph doesnt show any data. But it worked below 5 minutes interval. How can I make this work if INTERVAL is set to > 10.

Disabling History (2)

The problem I am having is being able to determine why someone disabled a device after it has recovered. Does Xymon keep a log of all the comments "causes" in some file? Alert rules, clarification on STOP

Env: Ubuntu 12.04 Xymon 4.3.0 All of my alert rules run external scripts for email/page/etc. I have the alerts.cfg file setup with the most granular items at the top (host specific, followed by page specific). When I have a rule such as: HOST=webserver1,webserver2 SERVICE=procs COLOR=red,yellow SCRIPT /home/xymon/server/ext/pg/exalert_web exalert_web REPEAT=30 COLOR=red FORMAT=TEXT DURATION>240 SCRIPT /home/xymon/server/ext/pg/exdigest_web exdigest_web REPEAT=120 FORMAT=TEXT DURATION>120 STOP I expect that any alert for "procs" that matches red/yellow will run those scripts if it fits the DURATION or REPEAT rule. If those have not been satisfied, then I expect the searching of rules to go no farther. Well, it seems that STOP doesn't really mean STOP. In my "info" screen where it shows what alerts are triggered for "procs" I see this: procs exalert_web 4h - 30m - red exdigest_web (S) 2h - 2h - yellow,red BMC_BEM (R) 30m - 3d - yellow BMC_BEM (R) - - 1d - red exalert_OTHCRIT 15m - 15m - red Exwarn_OTHCRIT 15m - 3d - yellow exdigest_OTHCRIT (S) 15m - 2h - yellow,red The items in white above (first 2 lines if the colors don't appear correctly) are what I expect to run and nothing else. The final 5 items (in blue, again if the colors show up correctly) are rules that would match the page etc. Why are rules being processed beyond the STOP? Why are some in blue (I've always wondered this)? And, as long as I am asking, what does the "(S)" represent? custom graph problem

Hi, I am monitoring a size of a file and have created custom graph. NCV value is "data file size: 4500" which is 4500 MB. On graph I have mentioned Y axis as size (MB). Graph is working fine. But Y axis is coming like 4.0 k, 4.1 k, 4.2 k etc. which is not looking good. How do I change the Y axis to full value instead of "k" Or is there any good idea where I can create graph of file size which has no limit. Here the condition is not like disk graph where we know the limit of disk so we can set it in percentage.

pagegen.c: use fixed column width for system name

Hello, I'm using one page to list all the managed systems, and would like to create a more homogenous look of that page. To this end, I've changed the pagegen.c code so that the generated tables are aligned on the left side of the screen. Now, I want to align the check icons so they all start at the same offset (as to avoid a "jumpy" page on which the check icons don't align nicely). I would like to do this by assigning a fixed width tot the column containing the system name (in my case, the NAME tag in de hostst.cfg). If this field has the same width for all systems, all check icons should also start at the same offset. I've been fiddling around in pagegen.c, but I can't figure out what to change to get the above mentioned layout. Can anybody point me in the right direction? kindest regards, Wilbert Jeuken
