Hi, I have an AIX servers that uses more memory then there is available in the server. After upgrading the server to 4.3.17, I noticed that the check is changed and that the percentage of Actual memory is not calculated: Memory Used Total Percentage green Physical 5997M 6144M 97% clear Actual 8697M 6144M 0% - invalid data green Swap 3112M 8192M 37% This is the output before the upgrade: Memory Used Total Percentage green Physical 6099M 6144M 99% green Actual 9065M 6144M 147% green Swap 3358M 8192M 40% Stef

Flapping Status? What does it mean?

We recently migrated our Hobbit 4.2 server to Xymon 4.3.18. For some some clients, I noticed a warning "Xymon WARNING: Flapping status". What is flapping status? how to avoid, but not disable it? Maik

After migrating our old hobbit server to latest version 4.3.18, another error message appeared. Error output: WARNING: The 'bad' syntax has been deprecated, please convert to 'delayred' and/or 'delayyellow' tags What I noticed on other pages online, the warning usually includes a <TESTNAME> value, but not at our installation. Seems to be very difficult to debug it. Maybe someone has a hint? Thanks Maik

Well if I would have waited and read about 10 more lines I would have seen the need to add a user with htpasswd. Seems to work after that. I have an older server running 4.2 and I am going to migrate the data off of it to a new server running a newer version. I installed 4.3.17 today on the new Solaris 10 machine. All seemed to go well from what I can see. On the webpage Under Administration though the last three things in the drop down won't work for me. They all point to xymons/xymon-seccgi which is a script alias in the apache.conf file for the cgi-secure directory. xymonnet - fatal signal caught

Hello, This is my first post to the mailing list and I was hoping to get some help with an issue I am having. My xymon server has been running great with no issues for months, version xymon-server-4.3.17_3 on FreeBSD10. This morning xymonnet has crashed. We add new hosts and checks every few days. I checked the other logs for xymon and things looks ok. Other areas of xymon work as well. Actually, I am running the commands locally, from the actual xymon server...I've just had better luck running the command while specifying the actual hostname of FQDN than I have specifying localhost, in the past. Unable to drop content checks

Good morning, all. Running Xymon 4.3.17, I've tried every magical incantation of the "xymon" command with the "drop" parameter that I can think of, but I haven't been able to get Xymon to drop 3 previously configured content checks. I've updated the hosts.cfg file to remove the cont= tests from the host's entry (content check/column names were ptlcls1, ptlcls2 and ptlcls3). I've tried: xymon <hostname.of.xymon> "drop <client-host-name> ptlcls1" (as well as ptlcls2 and ptlcls3) I've also tried: xymon <hostname.of.xymon> "drop <client-host-name> cont" But the tests continue to show up in the alarms list or in the disabled list, as I've now disabled them in order to clear my board of alarms. Am I missing something, doing something wrong, or am I just going to have to drop the client from Xymon (thereby losing its history) and re-add it (obviously, not really a great option)? How to Change Default polling Interval

Hi Currently what ever Interval I set in "clientlaunch", xymon still use 5 minutes Interval example :- [TEST] CMD /xxxxx/ext/test.sh INTERVAL 50m ENVFILE xxxxxxt/etc/xymonclient.cfg LOGFILE xxxxx/logs/xymonclient.log How can i set this script to execute by xymon every 50 minutes or 2 hours ? Thanks
