How to tell xymongrep to load from xymond?

Hi everyone, In the changelog there is a changelog for xymongrep saying: - xymongrep: don't load from xymond unless asked But I can't find anywhere where it says how to ask xymond now? None of the switches in the man page or the helpfile say anything about it. Anyone know? Thanks! Migrating away from SourceForge?

With all the brouha and SourceForge now loading malware into installers, I wonder about the viability of SourceForge. Is there a plan to migrate to something more stable? df hanging will cause xymon-client to hang.

Hello, I'm running a xymon-client on a Debian Jessie. OS: Debian OS-Release: 8 (Jessie) xymon-client version : 4.3.17 The error happend due to a nfs ressource not responding. I suppose that as xymon launch "df" to get information and as the nfs was hanging, the xymon-client is no able to detect that the df hangs and it does not send any data to the server. Worst, the xymon-client is not verbose at all, it does not tell this test (df) takes too long to accomplish. Many thanks for xymon. Regards. Cédric BRINER

Multiple Colo's

Greetings Xymoner’s, Looking for some help/advice on setting up multiple Xymon displays. Currently I have a xymon server running in each (10) individual colo's monitoring its local hosts. I would like to have a xymon display independent of all of these individual servers and call it a “11th" location which aggregates the 10 colo's into one “master” display. This master display would simply show 10 dots, one for each colo. If any host in any of the 10 colo’s displays a color that would be reflected in this master display. Is this possible? Making COMPACT: work

After years of wanting to use COMPACT: in hosts.cfg but never getting it to work, I finally decided to have a closer look. It turns out there are a few small problems that need attention. In particular, the documentation is wrong about delimiters. If you use the syntax shown in the man page then it will crash (or not depending on some undocumented behaviour with strlen and NULL input). The correct format is actually: COMPACT:newfield=oldfield1|oldfield2|oldfield3,anothernewfield=oldfield4|oldfield5 Etc. These patches correct the manpage, make the software more robust against crashes when you try the bad syntax, and fix a problem with clicking on the summary icon. ********************************************************************** This message is intended for the addressee named and may contain privileged information or confidential information or both. Hi, In unix client is possible to use the command file to specifically monitor if a file exists, has been changed in the last 24 hours, ... noflap option to disable flapping functionality per test

Hello, in our installation of xymon we have found that there are certain test that we do not want to apply flapping functionality so I've extended xymond code a bit to allow use of noflap option in hosts.cfg. JC, would it be possible to add this to xymon's code? enhancement request: nested entries in alerts.cfg and analysis.cfg

I'm sure many people have regexes with expressions like host[0-9].whatever.com to cover multiple hosts in alert HOST groups. It would be useful to be able to have a HOST statement within a group, eg: $LINUX=host[0-9].whatever.com HOST=%$LINUX COLOR=RED MAIL helpdesk at whatever.com HOST host4.whatever.com MAIL devel at whatever.com SERVICE=http HOST !%host[25].whatever.com MAIL someone at whatever.com As it is, I now have to rename 'host4', etc, in xymon and create separate HOST statements. Although I don't have as great a need for this capability in analysis.cfg, it makes sense to have it there as well. Is this something others want?
