True but I believe that solaris comes with perl and old one but one should handle the date stuff. Atlest the one system I found here that does have an update perl reports sun pkg SUNWpl5u, Can any one confirm this? No not really. Disable netstat test

Greet, Just had a new issue pop up and looking for some suggestions/help. We had to enable a firewall to do BGP routing for a new Colo Install. Once the firewall received the routes from the edge router hobbit went insane. What does insane mean? Well, it no longer sent updates the hobbit server. Also, if I tried to restart hobbit, hobbit consumes 100% of the CPU. I get the following in the logs : 2007-01-08 18:02:28 Write error while sending message to bbd at 172.16.2.10:1984 2007-01-08 18:02:28 Whoops ! bb failed to send message - write error I have already allocated more memory on the FreeBSD box. What is most likely happening is hobbit runs the netstat command and expects to get a few routes not 250,000 of them! And this is where it is hanging. Any idea how to disable the netstat test in the hobbit client? Or perhaps another way around this? Thanks, Lee

[hobbit] CPU (la) RRD graphs gone on all hosts

I've run into a very peculiar problem where the CPU (la) graphs are gone on ALL of my hosts. The strange thing is, ALL of the other graphs for ALL of the hosts are still showing. Just the CPU graph is gone. This is for both the CPU column, and the trend page. The only thing I did was add a new server-side script, and two entries in hobbitgraph.cfg (and the graphs for this script are working fine too). There were a few bugs in the script which I have since fixed. None of the hobbit logs I have looked in so far have given me any indication what is going on (though I may just not know exactly what it is I'm looking for). I checked the rrd files for all the hosts, and the cpu/la rrd file looks normal. Any ideas what log files/etc I could use to troubleshoot this?

Disk not showing

Hey all, I just noticed that one of my systems disks isn't showing up in the graph for the disk utilization.
