dbcheck.pl - Oracle - tablespace with AutoExtent

I've started using Francesco's dbcheck script - very nice package, really. However, one of my DBA's is a bit unhappy with the tablespace check - it reports yellow/red status for tables that have been defined with AutoExtent enabled. Right now I get a report like this: Tablespace check (def. warning Use% >= 90%, def. alert Use% >= 95%) TableSpace/DBSpace Size Used Free Use% Autoextent(Size) BASIC_DATA2_1976_88 300.0M 215.0M 85.0M 72% YES (64.0G) BASIC_DATA2_1989Q1 400.0M 382.0M 18.0M 96% YES (64.0G) BASIC_DATA2_1989Q2 500.0M 483.0M 17.0M 97% YES (64.0G) with the last two tables causing a red status. My DBA thinks they should not trigger an alert, because they will automatically increase in size if needed. Can anyone shed some light on this? IM back from vacation ! Yes the new viewlogs.sh script works with two minor problems. ON solaris 8 you must /usr/xpg4/bin/tail rather than the default tail to support the -n option. Probably true for all Solaris versions. And the default bash from sun does not work: /usr/bin/bash --version GNU bash, version 2.03.0(1)-release (sparc-sun-solaris) Copyright 1998 Free Software Foundation, Inc. But this version does: $ /usr/local/bin/bash --version GNU bash, version 2.05.0(1)-release (sparc-sun-solaris2.8) Copyright 2000 Free Software Foundation, Inc. I think the easiest thing is just to put a note in the file. ON to the next one!: view_graph.sh Not giving a drop down list for Service. bbproxy setup

Hi all, First I hope you all had a good/drunken new year and xmas (where applicable). Second I would like to ask for some help, I am trying to set up bbproxy between out server and a centralised server on another site but am finding it more of a challenge than I originally thought. I have disabled hobbitd on the proxy and changed the bbproxy entry to look like: [bbproxy] ENVFILE /usr/local/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg CMD $BBHOME/bin/bbproxy --hobbitd --bbdisplay=1.2.3.4anged the bbproxy entry to look like: than I originally thought. xy between out server and a centralised server on another s,5.6.7.8 --report=1.2.3.4 --no-daemon --listen=5.6.7.8 --pidfile=$BBSERVERLOGS/bbproxy.pid LOGFILE $BBSERVERLOGS/bbproxy.log The only real problem is the amount of time it takes to load the status on the main hobbit server (1.2.3.4) and also the seemingly random occurrences where statuses turn purple for no real reason, I am wondering if maybe I am doing something wrong on the proxy side of things and so some messages are not being sent etc. Thanks, Jason.
