There's no tool to generate the magic URL yet, but if you pull e.g. the cpu load graph - the page where you have the 4 graphs - then you can add more hosts to the "host=..." part of the URL. Just list the hosts you want to see, separated by commas. E.g. " This is just what I was looking for, of course it would be nice to have this automated into links on the graph site in question.. but.. no rush.. :D .. I will probable make something up my self.. Did this build a single image with multiple graphs, or one html page with several (individual, one per host) graphs in it ? Memory check

My hobbit server (Fedora FC4) has 1.25 gig of memory installed. When the server is backed, up using Retrospect client, REAL memory usage spikes from 34% to 97% and stays at that level until a reboot. When I check the system performance, using the built in system monitor, user memory is at 18.9%. Dell Open Manage is using the most memory at 3% with a few additional processes between 1% and 2%. Everything else is well under 1%. What exactly is hobbit reporting on when it says that Physical/Real memory is at 97%, Actual memory is at 17%, and Swap is at 0%? Hi all If anybody here did ever use the butter grapher with bigbrother in the past, the same might remember the neat thing of being able to compare for example cpu graphs for, all hosts in its group or all hosts monitored. I got the gcc depot from hp (goto http://www.hp.com/go/gcc )and the gmake from the University of Utah Porting and Archive Center ( goto http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/ )installed them on an RP-2480 and then as long as I do the following it works: Change Line 9 of build/Makefile.HP-UX to read (this way it uses gcc): CC=/usr/local/bin/gcc Change the file lib/osdefs.h to have the following (because my HP-UX complained that socklen_t and snprintf were already defined): Line 21: typedef int hobbit_socklen_t; Line 25: extern int hobbit_snprintf(char *str, size_t size, const char *format, ...); then everything worked for me. Also -- reply directly to me (not to the list) with the info I need for the ./configure (run the ./configure and just give me the output) because the config files are generated by that input. I am compiling on an RP-3440. A tarball would be great! I would like to know how you got yours to work though for future reference when new releases come out. Hmm. I am not seeing that. I have my custom tests (I am up to 4 now) in specified in the GRAPHS variable, but NOT in the TEST2RRD variable, and I am getting the values, and seeing the graphs in my Trends display. But if I put them in the TEST2RRD variable, then my custom script is never called. Which is what made me wonder -- now I am really getting confused. In (grin) in case you haven't heard it before -- congratulations on a great tool -- I think it has significant improvements over BB in every area! Hmm - no, at least it shouldn't behave like that. The custom RRD setup should be very simple. If your data shows up in the "mytest" column on the Hobbit display, add the "--extra-tests=mytest" and "--extra-script=mycustomscript.sh" options to the hobbitd_rrd commandline (in hobbitlaunch.cfg), and that should be it. Your script should get called whenever there's a status update for the "mytest" column. The part that probably tricks you up is that "mytest" must be added to both the TEST2RRD setting, and the GRAPHS setting.
