Or maybe the "Help" menu. Either way I can understand Henrik not wanting to link to a website outside of his control (where he can't guarantee will be up in 5 years time, say). It's reasonably straightforward straightforward to update the HTML templates to add to the menu. The Devmon documentation describes how to do this (add "Devmon documentation" to the "Help" menu), and perhaps Xymonton could have similar directions prominently displayed. the ntp check does what?

It checks that this host can talk to NTP and logs the dispersion between the two clocks. Xymon script question

Hi folks, My network has about a dozen Xymon clients and one Xymon server, all running Debian stretch. Yesterday I wrote my first Xymon script for it (using the example on the 'Xymon Tips and Tricks' page), which checks if the host it runs on needs a reboot in case the kernel has been updated. This script runs fine on all of the clients (a new column for it was automatically added to the 'Current Status' overview), but not on the server where it is apparently being ignored. There is, of course, also a Xymon client installed on the server and up until now it always seemed to work the same as all the other clients. So, do Xymon client scripts that are run on the server need to be different, or does something else need to be done before they will work there? Also, how can I best go about troubleshooting custom Xymon scripts? For example, is there a way to run them manually in debug mode? Thanks, Jaap

Hey folks, I was just reviewing usage and latest updates to monitors on xymonton.org. I see lots of traffic by bots and spiders but not much from users. I'm just curious if the community finds it useful at all. I'm pretty sure deadcat is better than dead (see what I did there?) since Dell bought Quest. I wasn't able to grab the tests to share on xymonton (if that was even relevant). thanks =G=

False SSL cert alerts

We are constantly having issues with sslcert alerts going non-green eventhough it says the cert is fine. Related to this is there being an issue getting to the https page from the Xymon server yet I can access it just fine from my browser. The latest one is an http only check - no Xymon client. Hi Is there a way to send an html table through the xymon-powershell.ps1 script? I currently use bb-central where I have a Linux script that runs on the xymon server. The above 2m interval is my setup of xymon client. 2. It seems the logfetch status file is not successfully saved and source code shows no error check (so no direct evidence). 3. The behavior only last under 20 min. The server itself did not have disk and cpu alerts and no one report any issues related to disk and io. I was told that this behavior is not new although rarely happen. Is there any solution or work round? My running version is: Xymon version 4.3.25-1.el6.terabithia Thanks, -max
