how create a new link without a service !?

Helo How can I create a new link, without the same exists as a service?! I need to add a link for one it makes up that already contains a consultation (PHP+MySQL). strange problem on hobbit client

tmp files

My tmp directory is filling up with fping-stderr.$$ and fping-stdout.$$ files. Why is hobbit not cleaning this after use ? or is it my configuration that misses something ? Regards, Thomas

And the entire message, or just that it was sent ? Big difference ... On clients, the latest message is in ~hobbit/client/tmp/msg.txt . Right ... the vmstat is started as with "nohup" to let it run independently of all the other client tasks (it's the only one that takes a long time). So this is a bit harder to do than it seems - hobbitlaunch which is the only other job running doesn't know the process-id of the vmstat process. Hello Henrik! I have some suggestions for the next hobbit release: - reports from hosts which are not known by the server should appear in the error report of the hobbitd. That would make it easier to find misconfiguration especially with the hostname the client sends. - Succesfully sent messages should be logged to ensure that the client works correctly. It would be enough to log the last sent message for having a static small size of the logfile - Bugfix: The Linux client does not stop the vmstat-process by stopping hobbitclient. incorrect Page/subpage displayed in info page

I have my bb-hosts splitted in 2 main category, one for network devices, and one for sistems. every category has the same set of subpages, like this: /NET/INTERNAL/DATA-CENTER/hosta /SIS/INTERNAL/DATA-CENTER/hostb now in the "hostb.info" page it displays: Page/subpage: NET/INTERNAL/DATA-CENTER/ which is wrog. I tried to launch bbgen with the "--debug" option, but I have seen nothing useful :( my version is the last stable: Hobbit Monitor 4.1.1 any hints? thnks -- Gianluca

ext hobbit client scripts

Given the new client design of sending "raw" data back to the sever so it can decide what the status should be... How can I extend this concept and write an external client script with the same logic... ie. a custom mysql status script that just sends its data back to the central server. That's really excellent news. I also am just about to finish the collection of WMI tests for Windoze. I think we got a bit carried away, but I will post more information this week or next.
