[hobbit] I can't get any graph on hobbit

Hi, I'm back with some troubles( again ?). First of all, if you didn't have fun today, I just spent my last day rebuilding my /usr/local/bin dir I trashed due to a stupid "find -rm" command. (I can send the complete command if you don't know how to spend the rest of your workday). I recompiled a lot of stuff, and at last hobbit. how to implement custom tests

I installed Hobbit on my (former) BB server. The clients are reporting in normally. However, I have some tests for hosts (NetApp, Tandem - that have no BB client) that run on the BB server and use the bb executable to "trick" the server into thinking it received it from an external client. For example: exec("/opt/bb/bin/bb", $IP, "status $machine.$test $color $now\n $status\n @array\n ") or die( "$1: Couldn't execute BB"); Is there an equivalent function on the Hobbit server that can accomplish this without having both BB and Hobbit installed?

DHCP server monitor

Good Morning. I've installed Hobbit on a BB server. It is able to monitor everything I need except DHCP daemon. The DHCP server is the same of BB server in the main location, while I've 3 more DHCP servers in remote locations (each running bb-client). I've tried to use the external program that make the use of DHCPING (bb-dhcp) that I've found on deadcat.net, but this is not able to dhcping -s localhost. The hobbit 'bb' program in the $BBHOME/server/bin directory behaves the same as the BigBrother bb program. You should just need to change the directories in your scripts to make them work. I'm assuming you'd still want a BB client on your Hobbit server, if not, ignore... but you can still do those things in the ext folder on the BB client piece and it should still report them to Hobbit as usual. I have a few scripts from BB server now running in my BB client in the same manner. In "Configuring Hobbit Alerts" it says: SECS Number of seconds the service has been down. will be in the environment of the alert scripts. The variables actual name is DOWNSECS. Thanks, Larry Barber

Hi, I'd like to set a global rule in hobbit-alerts.cfg, to receive an e-mail for any non green event. (hobbit 4.0.4 on aix 5.2). So I tried to add those lines at the bottom of the config file : HOST=.* SERVICE=.* MAIL my_email at my_domain COLOR=yellow MAIL my_email at my_domain COLOR=red MAIL my_email at my_domain COLOR=purple But I don't receive any mail, even if some tests aren't green. The page.log doesn't show anything either. I tried to add the --debug option in the hobbitlaunch.cfg, but page.log only show this 2005-07-06 16:18:49 Setting up page channel (id=3) 2005-07-06 16:18:49 calling ftok('~hobbit/server',3) 2005-07-06 16:18:49 ftok() returns: 0x3000093 2005-07-06 16:18:49 shmget() returns: 0x60008 Any idea ?
