Hi I have recently upgraded from 4.3.28 to 4.3.30 Everything seems to have installed ok, without any issues. The problem I think I have is the http(s) test for the actual xymon server, on version 4.3.28 the test worked ok and I got a green result Since upgrading the test now shows red, it actually says https://vmsg-xymon1.corp.renfrewshire.gov.uk/ - Bad Request HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request Date: Tue, 11 May 2021 09:59:47 GMT Server: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) OpenSSL/1.0.2k-fips mod_wsgi/3.4 Python/2.7.5 mod_perl/2.0.11 Perl/v5.16.3 Content-Length: 362 Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Seconds: 0.002957000 On my other xymon server which is still the older version, same test is ok. The other thing I noticed is that on the xymonnet test on each server, on version 4.3.28 it shows SSL library but on 4.3.30 it does not. Exclude kernel from libs check

Hi, is there a possibility to exclude the installed kernel from the "libs" check, at least temporarily? Due to a kernel bug, we're running the stable Debian Kernel right now, but the newer kernel from bullseye is also installed. Error message in xymon: Machine should be rebooted. Running not the newest installed kernel: Running kernel: 4.19.0-16-amd64, version #1 SMP Debian 4.19.181-1 (2021-03-19) Newest installed kernel: 5.10.0-6-amd64, version #1 SMP Debian 5.10.28-1 (2021-04-09) Is there an option to whitelist the kernel or bypass the kernel check temporarily without changing the plugins' code directly? Xymon and BBWin assistance

Hello, I am not sure if this email address is even valid anymore, but I found it as a support contact for Xymon. I am trying to setup this software to monitor servers and services, and am having issues. I am not quite sure what is not working, but I do not seem to be able to modify the monitoring or display with the analysis.cfg, client-local.cfg, and hosts.cfg. You can simply put &green (or any of the colours) into your status message, and it will automatically be replaced with the image required. If you wish to embed other images, then that will be a completely different process. Hello, I am trying to figure out how I would include an image within the status message of my custom test? I noticed that the default "conn" test uses the xymon color gif within its status which makes me think it is possible. I tried to add an image by including the text??<IMG SRC='usr/src/xymon-4.3.30/xymond/wwfiles/gifs/green-recent.gif' ALT='green image'> but that did not work, it only shows the alt text and not the image itself.

http checks red with timeout, xymonnet fast

Dear all, >From one moment to the next we had the situation that all our https tests went to red because of timeouts. As far as we found no firewall or network issue. Using another machine everything is fine. We assume a hardware problem with the main board (Sun T3 Solaris), but support says the machine is ok. Doing the request directly with xymonnet the result is a quick reply. Any ideas how to debug this or what I am doing wrong? Where is a difference between the check made by xymon server and the manual check? From what version to what version? What investigation have you carried out already? Have you checked for errors in the logs or in the "xymond" status page for the server? J
