IO Wait graphs

Hi all I'm running xymon 4.3.6 in prod and 4.3.9 in dev. I've just noticed that we're not seeing IO wait being graphed in dev. (Mix of RHEL4,5,6) Not sure if it matters but I'm using the RPMs from http://terabithia.org/rpms/xymon/testing/ Anyone else seeing this? Thanks CC -- RHCE#805007969328369

Hi, the xymon.com server had a minor disk "hiccup" last Saturday. Unfortunately, this triggered a kernel panic and things went pretty bad after that - eventually causing the whole server to die last Monday Aug. 20th. Unfortunately, I was 4000 km away - and even though I did manage to get an SSH session opened to the server, all attempts to reboot it remotely just gave me a "Bus error". My apologies for the inconvenience, it was a classic case of Murphy's Law that everything will go bad, at the worst possible time. I expect the mails submitted to the mailing list will show up over the next 24 hours or so, once the various mailservers retry their connection to xymon.com Regards, Henrik

Accessing Xymon from iPhone

Hi All, I've had a bit of a search and didn't seem to turn up a lot otherwise slap me if I've missed something obvious. I've setup a new server on 4.3.10 after previously having a 4.3.0 I think beta release. Everything works ok but I cannot access the menus from an iPhone whereas I could previously ? It works fine from a PC browser. Has the menu changed to be rendered in something not iOS friendly ? Cheers Allan

Xymon 4.3.10 released - bugfixes and inode checks

Hi Henrik, We have just successfully rolled 4.3.10 out to a number of Solaris servers here, build went fine, but we have a modified xymonclient-sunos.sh which plays better with the many zones we have configured, critically, it counts memory properly inside a memory capped container. I'd like to submit this patch for consideration of the community for including in some future release. Thanks -- Andy

Strange Errors trying to Run xymongen

Not sure how this happened but I have a fully in production XYMON server running. Flawless trending and monitoring. I wanted to drop the memory column from the all nongreen page so I ran the command : ./xymongen --nongreen-ignorecolumns=memory This is the result 2012-08-16 16:19:55 Whoops ! Can anyone tell me how to change that ip? Not sure when it got in there somewhere and I have searched the entire file system for any file containing that entry and it returns nothing. Hello We have xymon installed on a Macintosh running 10.6.8. We have configured the alerts conf file as follows; HOST=%(help|host|jumpmail|wilma|portal).jumpit.ca SERVICE=http MAIL (email address)(a)jumpit.ca REPEAT=20 RECOVERED When an alert is triggered, no email is being sent out. I can however send an email from the host command line as follows; sh-3.2# mail (email address)(a)jumpit.ca Subject: test test message . EOT sh-3.2#
