Looks like a bug in 4.3.2. There is a comma before the HISTORY button. We can see this on our site as well as on Henrik's. ~David

With the changes to Xymon/4.3.x (perhaps also to /4.3.x), the sge.sh script on Xymonton doesn't work. Has anyone played with it recently and gotten it updated? -- JONATHAN B. alert acknowledgments

I'm running Xymon 4.3.0 and when an alert is acknowledged the acknowledge messages is always attributed to "UnknownUser" rather than the user that logged the message. Is anybody else having this problem, or aware of a fix for it? Thanks, Larry Barber

Footer/header and menu issue on html generated by CGI

Hi all, I found in the archive the problem described below, but I can't found the solution. Did someone found an work around to differentiated the CGI generation template by the xymon alternate pageset? The final objective is to have some indipendent alternate pages for a different users. And keep the Xymon server security disabling/modifing the menu generated from the CGI. N.B. I'm using Xymon version 4.2.3. So, i tried to see if in the shell script which call the cgi, there is some variables for footer/header /cgi-bin/bb-hostsvc.sh ------- . /opt/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitcgi-newstyle.cfg exec /opt/hobbit/server/bin/hobbitsvc.cgi $CGI_SVC_OPTS ------- I checked /opt/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitcgi.cfg default file, but there is nothing about footer/header. New graph display problems.

I have created a new test in DEVMON and now have an issue with it not displaying the graphs in the status page. It is displaying fine in the trends page. In testing this I found that the only devmon test that is displaying in the status page is if_load. I am at work and as such am blocked from searching the archives to see if that has been answered already. Kevin H. Clientlaunch ignoring INTERVAL, gaps in graphs, Failed to get a message

Hi all. I'm having a funny issue on a custom graph. or multiples. xymon client 4.2.0 on HP-UX 11.11 I'm trying to get the compiler to run so i can upgrade to 4.3.2, but in the meantime i'm still having this issue. Having a custom graph or two in ext/<customgraph.sh> in clientlaunch.cfg is the following [diskstat] ENVFILE $HOBBITCLIENTHOME/etc/hobbitclient.cfg CMD $HOBBITCLIENTHOME/ext/diskstat.sh LOGFILE $HOBBITCLIENTHOME/logs/diskstat.log INTERVAL 5m When I look at the graphs, there are gaps. When i do a ps I see multiple instances of the script internals. When i do time checks in the script, i see that the script is executed once every minute, telling that it is ignoring the INTERVAL 5m setting in clientlaunch.cfg Is there any particular known bugs I should be aware of? This also generates the message Failed to get a message, terminating, due to the status files being overwritten and mangled due to the process that takes 4 minutes to complete being started every minute. Any ideas?

Securing Pages

Hello All, I've been asked to create a hierarchy of pages with differing access rights. I was thinking of using the XYMONPAGEHTACCESS variable to add .htaccess files with page specific options. The problem I'm running into is that I can't convince xymongen to use multiline content from XYMONPAGEHTACCESS. Am I trying to use the variables correctly? I know I can put everything directly into the apache config, but I was looking for a more elegant/dynamic solution. Thanks, Ken

Hi team, I am trying to configure on xymon 4.3.2 on my AIX server 5.3 version. While running the configure.server script ,I am getting the below error related to rrdtool. *Checking for RRDtool ...* *./configure.server[76]: -f: not found.* *./configure.server[76]: -f: not found.* *Not RRDtool 1.0.x, checking for 1.2.x* *./configure.server[76]: -f: not found.* *./configure.server[76]: -f: not found.* ERROR: RRDtool include files found in /usr/include, but compile fails.
