Hi, is it possible to split a web page generated by Hobbit into sections? At the moment we get a layout like this: Pages hosted locally -------------------- Project1 Project2 . . . What I want to do is something like this: Projects for cutomer A ---------------------- Project1 Project2 Projects for customer B ----------------------- Project3 Project4 . . . I know that I can change the text "Pages hosted locally" by changing the variable MKBBLOCAL respectively MKBBSUBLOCAL. At the moment I don't want to use alternate pagesets for this because I only need this for 1 or 2 subpages within the normal page layout. Or is it possible to generate alternate pagesets as a subpage of the normal layout? But this leaves the question if it is possible to split these subpages into sections. Regards Torsten

Need help in hobbit monitor

HI All, We are monitoring about 100 hosts using hobbit monitor. it was working fine. but from yesterday onwards I see purple icons for cpu,disk,memory on the webpage. What caused this problem? How can I get this resolved? Some questions:- 1) What is the difference between client side client installation (. /configure -client selection client during installtion) and server side client installation (selection server option during installation) 2) For some hosts I don't see CPU, disk, memory status on webpage I do see only conn,ssh.how do I get all the status on the webpage 3) by default I see files,msgs,ports and procs status are white color. if I don't want to monitor files,msgs,ports and procs how do I get rid of those entries showing on the webpage.basicall I want to see only conn,cpu,disk,info,memory,ssh and trends. host-specific settings

I'm new to hobbit monitor, and trying to set up host-specific settings in hobbit-clients.cfg on the hobbit server. At the moment I want to do a simple test, so that default settings apply to all clients except for server1 for which I want to use other disk space parameters: In hobbit-clients.cfg I have: DEFAULT # These are the built-in defaults. UP 1h LOAD 5.0 10.0 DISK * 90 95 MEMPHYS 100 101 MEMSWAP 50 80 MEMACT 90 97 HOST=server1 DISK * 95 99 However, server1 still applies the default settings for DISK. I've reloaded the hobbit service so it rereads its config files, but after about 30 minutes the changes still don't seem to have taken effect. I've followed the instructions on the hobbit-config.html help page, but think I may be missing something. Any advice on this? Thanks.

I am getting so annoyed... Have added this line in the defaults section of localclient.cfg FILE /etc/hosts YELLOW noexist And have added [hostname] file:/etc/hosts Into client-local.cfg.. And although /etc/hosts exists I am still showing green??? The client data shows.. [file:/etc/hosts] type:100000 (file) mode:664 (-rw-rw-r--) linkcount:1 owner:0 (root) group:0 (system) size:183979 clock:1218100844 (2008/08/07-10:20:44) atime:1218100839 (2008/08/07-10:20:39) ctime:1213367146 (2008/06/13-15:25:46) mtime:1213367146 (2008/06/13-15:25:46) So why isnt my alert going yellow?

History not working any more

Moin! On my server that suffere a disk overflow the hobbit history is not working any more. While I do see the events in the event log and in the hobbit data directory, I can not see the events when using the history button of the test page. The latest events there always show the date when the file system overflow happened. Any ideas how to fix this or how to look further into it? I am planning to move my hobbit server install to a new server... If it possible to migrate all the data from the old install to the new one? diference betwen hobbit and bb

Hi Im working with hobbit and bb at the same time!!! but now im thinking of change. I ´d like to use only hobbit clients . My question is .. what is the diference betwen bb and hobbit? i think that using hobbit I will be able to configure many monitors using only the server part , insted the ext scripts. for example scripts in the server part like oracle, cpu, memory, disk, tomcat,.... On the other hand, my server is a BB one, I´ll need to change it? regards
