Hi, Hobbit is logging error messages like this for some port alarms: Could not launch paging script page.php: Argument list too long I guess that calling the script fails due to the size of the environment. These port tests produce around 0.7 to 1 MB netstat output. Is there a possibility to workaround this problem? E.g. by piping BBALPHAMSG into the script instead of passing it via environment? I've already tried to increase MAXMSG_PAGE to 3000 - however with no success. monitoring httpd 24x7 (almost)

Hi All, I'd like to monitor "http://[hostname]:10003" 24x7, except for 10 minutes on Sunday morning. However: I can't use DOWNTIME in bb-hosts, because that puts the entire host out of service. I can't use hobbit-clients.cfg, because it doesn't support any tags that affect the HTTP column. As a work-around, I can use PROC in hobbit-clients.cfg, but that affects the PROCS column instead. Thoughts? hi somethink new in my installation can somebody tell me if they already have these, when i click on the square on the page i give me a error may be he can't find the other page:' Not FoundThe requested URL /hobbit-cgi/bb-hostsvc.sh was not found on this server. hi everybody, after off couple of day of re-installing my debian and my hobbit, i can have my hobbit server works, and i don't know why, it doesn't give me any erro during the installation, :' Installation complete. You must configure your webserver for the Hobbit webpages and CGI-scripts. A sample Apache configuration is in /home/hobbit/server/etc/hobbit-apache.conf If you have your Administration CGI scripts in a separate directory, then you must also setup the password-file with the htpasswd command. Hi, didn't see a reply, so thought i'd do a resend in case it got lost in the shuffle Hi All, Two questions: QUESTION #1: Is it possible to have a third color alert? Meaning: One of my customers wants a setup like this: Custom script runs on client server, reports: foo : 80 for example. They want less than 85 to be green, 85-90 yellow, 90-95 red, and above 95 any color, say orange. So far as I can tell, I can only use green, yellow, and red for alerts, and blue and purple are reserved. QUESTION #2: lets say #1 above is possible, so my script sends hobbit the status line based on the it sees, with the status of green, yellow, red, and orange. The hobbit server recieves it, and uses the NCV module to build the rrd etc.. In hobbit-alerts.cfg to say does the SERVICE keyword work for custom NCV type columns? Thanks.

Just a heads up for people; some flexlm license/product name are not unique with in 18, a rrdname limit so you can not graph them (or at least with out additional work ) Dup DS names.
