Apache graphs broken (NAN)

Hiya people, OK. So I have managed to break (part) of my hobbit install. The background is as follows. I have a host (say host.org) and it used to monitor a website (www.host.org) and used the apache check (apache=http://www.host.org/server-status?auto) to generate the apache graphs. This host was also running various other websites using virtual hosts. Anyway, I moved the www.host.org site from the host.org machine and wanted to monitor the host.org site (no www). So I changed the entry in bb-hosts. and restarted. The apache graphs have since stopped updating. I have tried removing the rrd file, removeing the .chk files in tmp (both when hobbit was stoppped) I guess there must be something I am missing here; can anyone point out what it is? Cheers PS. [hobbit] Critical Systems ACK vs "regular" ACK

I've noticed that when you ACK an alert from anywhere other than the Critical Systems page, the ACK doesn't carry over, and you have to ACK it again from there. We have trained our Operations group to use the C.S. page, so we sometimes get alerted from them about stuff we have already ack'ed. Also, acking from the C.S. page doesn't stop the alerts from being sent out. Is there any way to tie these two systems together, perhaps for this upcoming release? Or is there a reason they are separate?

CLASS=classname doesnt seem to work in hobbit-client

Hi Hobbit users ! I've got 20 hosts for which I setted up a CLASS:myclass in the bb-host file. : IP myhost.mydomain.com # CLASS:myclass This settings appears on the info page for each of them (in Other tags), so I guess it's ok. I'm trying now to monitor processes who should run on those servers by having a section like that in the hobbit-client.cfg file. CLASS=myclass PROC myproc 1 16 PROC myproc2 1 16 But it doesn't work (the proc test doen't include those processes. I restarted hobbit server and waited for 20 minuts without results. Thanks for the tips, gonna investigate. We are running vfiler, do I have to trick something else ? Securing hobbit

Hi, we have been setting up hobbit for our company over the last couple of weeks and it is a brilliant product! We were originally planning on allowing anyone within the company to see the pages, but now we have been asked to limit access to each department head and the department heads can only see the results for equipment in their department. We have divided the bb-hosts file up using the PAGE function, but wanted to know if there is a way to explicitly allow one or two people to see the page for a specific department. We also want to publish the site and use authentication to get to it, what is the best way to meet both these goals?

Hobbit setup after Catastrophic failure

I recently had a catastrophic failure of my hobbit box. I have rebuilt the box, installed FC6, installed hobbit, and have restored hobbit files from backup. I have started the hobbit script and restarted it after fixing some permissions issues caused by the restore, mostly missing rwx on subfolders and files. Currently Apache is serving the pages, but the data is stale and does not appear to be updating. Any suggestions? I have been looking at this for about two hours and my brain is numb.
