Hi all, My custom RRD's are sometimes not updated, when the server receives two or more messages in a short interval from different clients. Friends, When I was running bbgen I used to configurate the --purplelifetime=600 , I know that this is deprecated now, my question is if exists a way to reduce the actual 30 minutes purplelifetime ? Rgds, Mario.

Client stops reporting status, no purple

In Bigbrother, when the client software stopped reporting, the disk,cpu,msgs, etc.. columns would turn to purple after 30 minutes if it did not receive any updates. In Hobbit, the columns just turn into a - (dash). What setting do I need to put to make them turn purple when the Hobbit server doesn't hear from the client? Thanks, Michael

Is it me, or does badntp in the bb-hosts file not work? I have several servers running NTP, and they occasionally (several times a day) will lose their sync for a few minutes while they switch between higher stratum servers. It would be nice if hobbit wouldn't change to a "red" state.

I've found that some of the directives in hobbit-alerts have to be in some sort of order. I have had to play with the order of the directives until they were all recognized by hobbit on several occasions. I don't know if this is documented or not, but I find that putting the DURATION> directly after the e-mail address tends to work best. FYI COLOR seems to work best when it is last... Hi all, Im trying to build my own RRD graphs. I've done my shell-script already, and also I'm aware that I've got to modify hobbitgraph.cfg and hobbitserver.cfg. But im not sure where should I put the --extra-script and --extra-tests options. Should I add another line to hobbitcgi.cfg ? If so, what would be the correct syntax? Thanks, Fabio

Hi I am loving the hobbit-mailack. It works very well. Ok! That explains the errors make is giving me :) Any special configs I should think about on the clients running BB?
