Hi, Running on the new hobbit server, I am seeing these in /var/log/hobbit/status.log: 2006-10-03 18:05:32 Setup error: Service wraps has a graph "ncv", but no graph-definition 2006-10-03 18:05:32 Setup error: Service HiFlowNet has a graph "ncv", but no graph-definition 2006-10-03 18:05:32 Setup error: Service drops has a graph "ncv", but no graph-definition I did not see these until I upgraded to the new server version. But all webpages are still working, even the alternate pageset, the status of the alert is odd too it appears green but when you click on it the reports says it's been red for 35 minutes, do I need to be concerned about this? client on nfs directory

Hello, I'd like to run the hobbit client off of nfs on multiple servers. It seems that most of the ability is there because they name their temporary files with their hostnames. However, it seems there are no provisions in the clientlaunch.cfg to name, say the launch log to $hostname.log. Is this true? Has anyone successfully used this on NFS? Are there other gotchas that anyone knows of? Thanks Dan Vande More

Has anyone gotten this to work? I've found a reference: http://www.hswn.dk/hobbiton/2006/03/msg00097.html However I don't seem to see that anywhere in the code that allows for doing that? What are others doing? Thanks. ---Eric

Worker process teminating

All were fine for a month or two until I get this error in /var/log/hobbit/clientdata.log (without any change in hobbit configuration) 2006-10-02 21:35:00. Thanks for the link. I will try this next week when I am with the client again. Further to this issue, the info column for the hobbit server displays fine. The info column for the hobbit clients fail. I have no idea what is different. Client code was compiled on the server and copied over as usual. Clients are Solaris 9 as well, their standard tests report fine. This is actually the second site I have seen with the same symptoms (the other site I upgraded from 4.1.2 so I thought it was something I had done. Their hobbit server was on Solaris 9 as well). Everyone, I'm slowly getting back into doing Hobbit development after a seriously stressing period of other work. To get things started, I've merged a series of minor enhancement patches into the code, and dropped a couple of changes that didn't work out right. So there is a new set of patches available on the 4.2.0 patches page http://www.hswn.dk/hobbitsw/patches/ And in response to popular demand, there is now also an all-in-one patch so you can get all of the new stuff in one go. I'll probably give this a bit more testing - if you have the time, please test it also - and then do a 4.2.1 release later this month. Regards, Henrik

I just put this is yesterday and tested. It seemed to work. 192.168.xx.xx hostname # DOWNTIME=*:0100:0535 I tried putting a tag at the end. In quotes, not in quotes ect. It did not work. Adding the proc modifier seemed to work. We took it off as procs was the only thing we had this host.
