RRD graphing not showing up

The graphs do not show up on one Hobbit server I installed on AIX. All the other hobbit servers I installed on AIX 5.2 and 5.3 do work fine. I used the same procedure for installing Hobbit (same pre-reqs). All the pages shows up properly but the graphs images are not produced. The server is on AIX 5.3, running 64 bits kernel. I tried many things following what I found in the list but without success. Here is what I tried already: - Tested manually hobbitgraph.sh, with the Apache user (REQUEST_METHOD, REQUEST_URI, etc). It return data. - Recompiled a few times using different options - I saw the list thread about problems on HPUX and 64 bits compilations. So I tried recompiling with my server in 32 bits and same problem - rrd files gets populated and rrdtool dump is working In my apache error log, I have the following: Premature end of script headers: /home/hobbit/cgi-bin/hobbitgraph.sh In my rrd-data.log, I have (I don't think it matters) Internal error: Duplicate match ignored Any ideas? Hobbit 4.1.2p1 on Fedora4 I have tried everything and can't get this to work. The PAGE=/ works but non of the PAGE tags for anything below that do. The "mconnect" command might also work. bbtest-net crashing 8-(

Hi all, I am running version 4.1.2p1 of Hobbit on SuSE Enterprise Linux 9 SP2 X86_64. It is unpredictable on when it is going to crash. It runs for days with no problem then crashes every five minutes for an hour then may for days again before it crashes. Is there a fix for this and I just missed it when looking through the archives?? Hi, As bbproxy appears to be a message routing program to accept data from clients and pass them on to a hobbit server, I assume it doesn't require all the server components like rrdtool, SSL, LDAP etc. If the above is true, how can you build a bbproxy install without all the unneccessay clutter? Hobbit tracking of data from ORCA

Our Solaris group here is using ORCA to collect various performance metrics about their servers. However, the ORCA data collection is somewhat fickle, and it is annoying to have two systems tracking data. So the question was: Can Hobbit be used to collect these data instead ? I've had a look at ORCA, and it does seem like it would be possible to just use the ORCA data collector (orcallator.se) and feed those data into Hobbit. A special back-end module could then process these into RRD files, and graph them with hobbitgraph. This would be rather trivial to do - most of the work would be to setup the hobbitgraph definitions to match those graphs currently available in ORCA. But before I do that - how many people are actually using ORCA? Their website appears to be on-line, but no updates have appeared for a couple of years. Regards, Henrik

For what it's worth, I've got the bb-sar module collecting data and have just managed to hack the sar-grapher.cgi to kinda generate graphs. My thanks to Alon Ofek for his detailed message on 24 Nov 2005 on getting the collection to work -- but he left the graphing side just a bit less well covered. Having said the above -- this is fugly! If I get some time, I'll be converting the collecting side to the hobbit philosophy of os-neutral data in one sar rrd and move the graphing into hobbitgraph. I needed this because we've had a critical system crash 4 times since last November on an error 23 -- too many files open in system. As near as IBM can tell, the real problem was inode cache depletion, so I'm graphing the inode data.
