Hello again, This time I come with a proposal of feature that could help many of us who handles a huge network. Here is the story: Since it is a huge job to copy paste very long lists of hosts that could be in the network path between the final Hobbit client and the Hobbit server, it could be nice to have some possibility to define some kind of template. Let's say you have different sites around the globe and there are fixed paths to get there. You sure do not want to copy paste as I said the list of hosts present on those paths. So if we could define a few "default route" to get to a site we would save time of configuration and the readability of the bb-hosts file. i.e.: Hobbit server ------ router1------ router2 ------ router3 ------ host1 | | ------------------------- host2 | ------ router4 ------ router5 ------ host3 default-route1: router1, router2, router3 default-route2: router4, router5 0.0.0.0 host1 # conn route_HServer: default-route1 0.0.0.0 host2 # conn route_HServer: default-route2, router3 0.0.0.0 host3 # conn route_HServer: default-route3 There it is. Makes life easier for lazy (or with a huge work load :-)) kind of people. Sure? "central" mode is for the Hobbit kind of architecture ... at least this is what I understood. And "local" was for the Big Brother kind of mechanisms, which should also work with Hobbit server but well. I ll try and let you know. New source code and report script

Hello all, We finally resolved our problem with the bbgen crash and modified the source code of Hobbit. Anyone interested can it ask me, I will send with no delay. Thus week I also get a little perl script to get the information from the availability report spreadsheet. Here also, any people interested can it to me. The usage is quiet simple: 3 arguments, first one is a threshold which will lead to select only the entries lower than it. Second one is a filter on the tests (you put "all") to select all them. Third one is a filter on the hosts (here also you can put a "all") to select all of them. (Useful if you have some order or hierarchy in your name convention, it does not handle reg-ex however). The bb-hostsvc.sh script returns an error: Query string: bb-hostsvc.sh?HOST=emarganne.bbwin&SERVICE=info Results: Premature end of script headers: bb-hostsvc.sh Beside that it does not display the other information like CPU, disk,... just like the BBWin client was not sending properly the information (and I am sure the bbdisplay is well configured, so is the registry key) or the information were misinterpreted by the server.
