Hi all ! I have compiled a seperate hobbit clients, and installed them on AIX servers. Now I would like the log files under /var/adm/hobbit instead of directly under the client. However the BBCLIENTLOGS entry in hobbitclient.cfg is ignored. hobbit owns the new log directory. Anybody else seen this ? Br Thomas

bb and bb2 pages not generating

My bb and bb2 pages are NOT refreshing or updating. using hobbit to monitor the number of files

Say, in a mail or print spool. I know hobbit can check the age or existence of a file, but how about the number of files in a dir? I'm sure it's trivial to do, but I haven't run across this yet, so before I reinvent the wheel, I thought I'd ask. I would like hobbit to report on the number of files in a given location, and then generate an alert if it's above the warning or fatal levels. Thanks.

hi, i have 2 hobbit servers , both on diffrent network. would like hobbit A monitored stuff to show up on hobbit B with out having the client of the stuff being monitored send data to both servers. ..can someone please help in explaning how if there is a way for it to be done. any hints will be greatly apreciated.

dear all, By mistake I added 'smpt' column for one of my clients using bb-hosts. Now I m trying to delete that column using bb on hobbit server but no luck. Critical Level reporting

Hello all, Trying to enhance the Hobbit reports for my manager, I want to extract the availability report for critical events and get a spreadsheet. How can I get the bb-rep.cgi script give me the right data? I have seen that it used some environment variables but you can enter the dates interval through the web interface... So there must be some kind of way to get through a script (i.e. a perl one). Any suggestion is welcome, if I get this to work, I will send it to the interested people. Use the full path....we had the same issue with the cluster.exe, once we full pathed it, it works. Hi, I'm trying to get the fsmon vbs script working, but it won't get updated. Only when I manually enter 'cscript fsmon.vbs' from cmd it works. I've added the following to bbwin.cfg: <externals> <load value="cscript fsmon.vbs" timer="15m" /> </externals> Also tried different combinations like 'ext/fsmon.vbs', 'ext\fsmon.vbs' and '..\ext\fsmon.vbs'. None works. What to do? Thanks. - Joost

Hi, In my hobbit instalation, the host-ack checkbox is not acknowledging all alerts from a given host. Has anyone here experienced the same problem? Thanks in advance, mario.
