I'm monitoring a machine which is unfortunately named "panic" and I can't seem to get the LOG settings right to flag "PANIC", but not "panic" for that host. Here's the host-specific section in hobbit-clients.cfg: HOST=panic,panic.example.com LOG %.* %(?-i)PANIC IGNORE=%panic LOG %.* %(FATAL|ECC) COLOR=red and here's the default section (for all other machines): DEFAULT LOG %.* %(FATAL|PANIC|ECC) COLOR=red Any ideas why "panic" is still matching? user and group for bb.html ...

Hallo List, a silly questtion, but ... my files bb*.html in server/www dont change! I belive it depends on the access-rigths for the files. in /var/log/hobbit/hobbitlaunch.log there are some entries like this 2007-02-03 12:51:33 Task bbdisplay terminated by signal 6 2007-02-03 12:52:34 Task bbdisplay terminated by signal 6 2007-02-03 13:02:34 Task bbdisplay terminated by signal 6 2007-02-03 13:03:35 Task bbdisplay terminated by signal 6 2007-02-03 13:04:35 Task bbdisplay terminated by signal 6 I think it's due to the same error. Can anyone tell me the correct user and group for these files (or the correct doc). (Version: 4.2.0 with allinone-patch) thanx Rolf Masfelder

URL Yellow verses Red

Hello, On URL's, is there a way to say, turn them Yellow instead of Red? We have several development URL's and we want to monitor them, but don't want Hobbit showing them as Red, instead we'd like them to show Yellow. Is this possible? Thanks..James

Critical systems problem

Hi, When I use in bb-hosts the tag NAME , like this 0.0.0.0 foo.com # NAME: chicago.foo, causes critical systems ack form uses <INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="HOST" VALUE="chicago.foo"> and the acknowledge message don't appears on the web page when I click the button. I think, the correct form should be <INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="HOST" VALUE="foo.com"> . Any help or we already have a patch for this? Thanks in advance, mario.

Client install does not work. No reports. And of course no Glibc.

Hobbit client install I made a cpio-packet of hobbit client and moved it to a client computer. I get no reports from the client and this is what I find in the hobbitclient.log : /home/hobbit/client/bin/logfetch: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3.4' not found (required by /home/hobbit/client/bin/logfetch) So, the installation did not make a statically linked binary? Do I need to reinstall my server to get statically linked portable files?

hobbit client on AIX

Hi, The df output on AIX includes also /proc and nfs mounted file systems. I exclude them with df -Ik | grep -v "/proc" | grep -v ":/" Excluding /proc is easy, but the only way I found to exclude nfs file systems is excluding the lines with :/ in it ...... Can someone else with an aix box confirm that this is ok ? Stef
