BBWin problems

Hello all, I am currently testing BBWin and I have some problems. The bb-hostsvc.sh script returns an error: Query string: bb-hostsvc.sh?HOST=emarganne.bbwin&SERVICE=info Results: Premature end of script headers: bb-hostsvc.sh Beside that it does not display the other information like CPU, disk,... just like the BBWin client was not sending properly the information (and I am sure the bbdisplay is well configured, so is the registry key) or the information were misinterpreted by the server. Is there something to do on the server side (besides adding the new client in bb-hosts) to make it work with BBWin? Thank you for any help on that topic. ldap query

Evening people, I am trying to get an ldap query, and I have added the following line to the server in question in the bb-hosts file ldaps://192.168.1.25:636/dc=shihad,dc=org?cn,sn?sub?(cn=*) Now, this will go red when the ldap server is not listening on port 389. Is there any way I can force it to just check port 636? I thought the port number on the end as well as the ldaps in the URI would do it but no luck :( Cheers Iain

hobbitfetch infinite loop?

Every couple of days I note that hobbitfetch is hung: yellow Load is HIGH System clock is 0 seconds off top - 07:23:48 up 67 days, 15:36, 0 users, load average: 3.57, 5.42, 5.18 Tasks: 94 total, 4 running, 90 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 47.8% us, 6.5% sy, 0.3% ni, 43.0% id, 1.8% wa, 0.1% hi, 0.5% si Mem: 2074580k total, 2008140k used, 66440k free, 46652k buffers Swap: 1052216k total, 2576k used, 1049640k free, 1325888k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 30444 hobbit 25 0 2020 1016 616 R 96.3 0.0 3869:03 hobbitfetch I then go kill -9 the hobbitfetch process, and it starts "working" again, but I get an error reported in the hobbitfetch status: - Program crashed Fatal signal caught! Nothing is written to hobbitfetch.log. But I do get correct statuses for the few hosts that I am polling. I have 4 hosts that I poll using hobbitfetch. I think there will be just two more. But they are all internet facing, so keeping them up is a priority... bbgen --recentgifs option

Hi friends, I want to set on hobbitserver.cfg the --recentgifs option to show the recent-gifs only for 15 minutes. How can I do this? I've tried --recentgifs=15 and doesn't work. The gifs status change only after an hour. Any hint? Thanks in advance.

bbd column absent (do I need to worry?)

Today I noticed that my Hobbit server does not have a bbd-column anymore. The column-header says "The bbd service is an essential part of the Hobbit" so it seems like I'm missing something vital here, but to me it seems everything is working fine. However, today (feb 6) since 11am sharp, I'm missing some trend data for "cpu" and "users and processes". So I guessed the client was not running (although disk graphs kept working). According to the runclient.sh script, the client was not running, so i started it but no change whatsoever. This happened to me before and I'm sure that within a day it will work again, but it remains strange. Any suggestions ? Am I missing something? Peter

Dual hobbit servers

There may be a simple solution to my problem, but I'm confused. I have two Fedora Core 6 servers both running hobbit 4.2.0.1 All my Red Hat servers are configured to send data to both servers with /etc/default/hobbit-client having the line HOBBITSERVERS="10.8.100.199 10.8.100.20" My primary (BBPAGER) server is .20 with secondary as .199. Both servers perform all server base tests (conn, ssh, ftp, http) correctly. All Red Hat AS 4 clients where I installed Henrik's FC5-hobbit-client-4.2.0-1.i386.rpm bundle send all client side data correctly to both servers. All AS 3 and AS 2.1 servers (yes, AS 2.1 is old and I do want to get rid of them but I'm stuck on a few) I compiled source to get the most recent hobbit client in place. Everything works ok, the servers send their file-system, procs, CPU, RAM etc data but only to the primary server. No client side data gets through to the secondary. From any of those delinquent servers I can telnet to the secondary on port 1984 with no problems, logs show no complaints about being unable to connect. I've been going crazy on this for a while, and the only thing in common is that the non reporting servers are all AS 2.1 and AS 3 based, where I compiled the client.
