Hobbit monitoring I managed to make the installation of a server Hobbit. I have create my bb-hosts and I can see on my web page the result of my bb-hosts. My problem is that I cannot see the history of my equipments. Be that the service of hobbit restarts automatically during the starting up of the computer. How we make to receive alerts resulting from the server via e-mails. Be that it would be possible to have a paper text to be able to translate him with a translator. I am not an expert of Linux and my first language is French. Thank you.

In my hobbit-alerts.cfg, I have a bunch of alert definitions that start PAGE=Main/Subpage MAIL emailaddress SCRIPT /smsplus.sh If I want to exclude a single host from alerting within the subpage, what's the best way to do this? I tried PAGE=Main/Subpage EXHOST=testhost, but I'm still getting alerts on it... Are the page and exhost directives not compatible?

If you detail your leftover hosts at the top of the bb-hosts file, then specify the pages below that, the leftover hosts are actually displayed below the page links on the Hobbit web page. Question regarding Custom Graphs

All: I've just gotten custom graphs to work, on a simple custom script. Now I have bigger fish to fry. I have a number of custom scripts that produce 10 to 20 metrics. I'd like to split these metrics into multiple related/compatible graphs. If it try to produce them all on one chart the results will be so skewed that most results will not be displayable since they are so small when compared to other metrics from the same column. Right now I'm using the NCV module. I understand that there is an external script module that may help with this. The documentation is pretty vague on how this might help. If anyone has examples on how to produce multiple graphs on the same hobbit status page it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jim Richard.

Hobbit client help

I am monitoring around 40-50 servers that have a similar hostname and would like to alert out on the disk space like all my other servers. But these servers will not change with any setting I put in the config. The funny thing is that it pages out and watches the LOAD but will not do DISK. Can anyone help me with this? -Josh

files and ports displays went clear!

Hey, The files and ports columns went clear at the same time on both my main hobbit server as well as the backup server, which is refreshed every hour. I have changed nothing; IT says they changed nothing, "must be a hobbit problem". This is every server on hobbit, it now reports no files checked and no port checks defined! Anyone have any ideas? Duplicating a host ?

Hi all, I have a little issue that maye you can help me with. I monitor a server, and for a specific reason, I need it to appear in two differents hobbit pages, but with different names and different process check. The reason is that I need to monitor quite a lot of process for that server, but I also need to create a combotest that includes the "procs" element of that same server, and for that combotest I want only a limited numer of procs to appear. I thought that using the CLIENT: tag in the bb-hosts would allow me to duplicate the host, but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this ?
