Does any one have a ext script to track Clearcase licenses particularly one that graphs? Ive just been "displaying the output of the clearlicense command. We are also running MultiSite under that license.

No disk and cpu status from Linux and Solaris clients

Hi, I'm running a hobbit server on OS X . It should monitor various OS X , Linux and Solaris machines. From OS X clients I get all stats, from Linux (Debian, Suse) and Solaris clients I get only conn, info, ssh and trends . But there I get no disk or cpu stats. Any idea. humph

Is anyone in the hobbit world using BBWin in central mode to monitor the status of a file on the Window side and reporting back to a UNIX hobbit server? If so I could really use your help. MYSETUP CLIENT Hostname: mailrelay.math.purdue.edu OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition Service Pack 2 (build 3790) BBWin: BBWin V.12 SERVER Hostname: zorn.math.purdue.edu OS: SunOS zorn.math.purdue.edu 5.10 Generic_120011-14 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-280R On the server I have the following two files client-local.cfg [mailrelay.math.purdue.edu] file:c:\testbbwin hobbit-clients.cfg HOST=mailrelay.math.purdue.edu UP 30m LOAD 40.0 70.0 DISK * 90 95 FILE c:\testbbwin red MTIME<600 On the BBwin client my clientlocal.cfg file has file:c:\testbbwin file:c:\testbbwin does not seem to add any information in the msg.mailrelay file. QUESTIONS: I do get any information in the msg.mailrelay file about the file:c:\testbbwin. Is the code built in BBWin to capture the file: information to add to the msg.mailrelay file or is this something that I have to write? Can you provide your files so I can see an example. I really need to monitor a file on the Window side and this would be a great help. I also I am not a window type guy. We run as few window machines as possible and only where necessary. weird bug

I have a server named "blue" (I don't have veto power over the names.) Whenever I try to get the "info" for this server, I get an internal server error. The URL that generates the error is: https://meriadoc.ocio.ad.usda.gov/hobbit-cgi/bb-hostsvc.sh?HOST=BLUE&SERVIC…. The returned page is: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, xxxxxx at yyyyyy and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. Multiple NCV graphs on a page

I was wondering if this is possible when using the SPLITNCV tag. I see that there are disk, disk1, and so forth for some other tests that show up on trends. Is this possible to do for a custom script that is using the SPLITNCV tag to create multiple rrd's. Is this possible? -Josh

A lot of us have this problem, I think its a known-bug. We just setup a crontab to restart once an hour. Monitoring Solution

Hi all, Need some advice please and maybe a walkthrough if someone has already done this. Here is what I am trying to accomplish: I have my own company and I want to use Hobbit to monitor my clients system. I want to use a small factor pc for this and I found one that is small and requires little power although still offers the familiarity of a standard PC (Shuttle K45). What I need help with is settling on a Linux distro that is somewhat compact and easy to get working with Hobbit. I will be limited to a small HD (by small I mean <40 GB ;-) and 512 Mb of RAM. I'm looking to build a rock solid install that can be replicated in it's base form and then customized a little here and there to suit the needs for that particular clients and I'm talking Small business maybe 2 servers (all windows at the moment) at most and some network devices for uptime(printers and such). Any help would be very appreciated. Also if you think that hobbit may be overkill for this job and have a better suggestion then I'm open to that too. Thank You Rafal Roginela
