Hello, I'm testing Xymon 4.2.3 and in the man page of bbgen I see an option --docurl. As I understand, this option authorize to change the hostname as text in a hyperlink, by exemple to documentation. But I don't found any sample to do that. Trying to make graphs with bb-roracle.ksh 2.20

Hi all, I am trying to create customs graphs using tablespaces datas from bb-roracle.ksh (deadcat). If someone succeeded with this configuration and could give me some tips it will be fine. I tried to follow xymon help (creating custom graphs) but no graphs appears. Me Xymon server is a 4.2.3 on Solaris 10 Sparc. Regards, Fred.

dbcheck 1.21 vs xymon 4.2.3 (tablespace graphs)

I have previously used dbcheck version 1.15, but with local hacks in dbcheck to get it to report tablespace data in a format for which the Hobbit 4.2.0 built-in disk check could collect RRD data (as at the time I didn't have time to get a change approved on the production monitoring environment). I recently had a requirement to monitor database servers in a new environment, and used dbcheck 1.21 (as support for different thresholds for tablespaces with autoextend enabled or not will be useful). However, as far as I can tell, the RRD collector shipped with Xymon 4.2.3 is only going to work with dbcheck 1.15. So, I patched Xymon 4.2.3 with the patch-4.2.3 shipped with hobbit-perl-cl 1.21. For these tests, I have RRD files and graphs, but they are all NaN: Session TblSpace For these tests, I have RRD files, and graphs with values: InvObj MemReq For these tests, I have a broken graph (no image): HitCache Now, I would prefer to have graphs for all the tests, but immediately, graphs for TblSpace would be most useful. Unfortunately I don't have a test/dev environment with a full Oracle installation (I will try and get an OracleXE into my usual Xymon dev environment, but I don't know if that is sufficient), so I can't debug this sufficiently. The Xymon host in question is running CentOS 5.3 x86_64 at present. So, some questions: -Does the RRD collector that ships with Xymon 4.2.3 support dbcheck 1.15 ? -If not, does the RRD collector patch for 4.2.3 shipped in 1.21 support x86_64? Will these changes be merged into Xymon SVN any time soon? I prefer not to apply patches which aren't going to find their way upstream. Otherwise, I will try and test this with some dumps from hobbitdlog on the production environment on my test environment .... Regards, Buchan

Monitor vfiler with Netapp.pl

Hi, I'm using the Francesco Duranti Netapp.pl perl script to monitor Netapp filer. I would like to know if it's possible to monitor Vfiler via this script too ? Instead of launch command with "rshcommand = /usr/bin/rsh -l root" for regular filer, it will be "rshcommand = /usr/bin/rsh -l root "vfiler context $MYVFILERNAME" then, the command. Any advice is welcome

"see" link in xymon alert mails shows internal ip

hi, i have two ips for xymon. server one is internal (172.29.2.227) which is in bb-hosts file and all hosts sends info on the same ip.But while accessing on browser,an external ip is given to it and page is browsed using external ip. now for my alert mails setp,"see" link is giving the url which has link to test with problem. the problem is that,"see" is giving the internal ipadress and not the external one from where i ble to get the browsing.How shoulld i go about it so that on link click,i should be able to see link Pankaj V. Graphs not showing up

Hi all, I have just build a new xymon server ( 4.3.0-0.beta2 ) and everything is reporting properly, but my graphs just show the dreaded red x and the link does not work.. anyone had this problem before? NCV behaving badly

downtime

Hi, I configured downtime for some of my hosts. The red tests become blue, and I'm happy with it. But many tests switch to purple, and I'd like them to go blue during downtime period. Is it possible anyway ? Regards, Damien
