Hi All, "conn" column showing white color. I am unable to make it green. If i click on "conn" column following message is displaying: *Mon Apr 4 18:41:13 2011 conn ok : System failure of the ping test* Service conn on t1vl001 is OK Hobbit system error Kindly let me know how can i active "conn" column. Xymon 4.3.1 released (security fixes)

Hi, I have released Xymon version 4.3.1. It is available from Sourceforge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/xymon/ now. The main reason for a release now following the 4.3.0 release just a month ago is to fix a security issue that was reported to me two days ago. David Ferrest reported that the Xymon web interface was vulnerable to "cross-site scripting" attacks. After the initial report, I have gone through the web UI code and fixed several identical vulnerabilities leading to this release. For those unfamiliar with cross-site scripting, here is the Wikipedia description: "Cross-site scripting (XSS) is a type of computer security vulnerability typically found in web applications that enables malicious attackers to inject client-side script into web pages viewed by other users. An exploited cross-site scripting vulnerability can be used by attackers to bypass access controls such as the same origin policy. Cross-site scripting carried out on websites were roughly 80% of all security vulnerabilities documented by Symantec as of 2007. Their impact may range from a petty nuisance to a significant security risk, depending on the sensitivity of the data handled by the vulnerable site, and the nature of any security mitigations implemented by the site's owner." histlogs has occupied more disk place and partition is about to become full

What I'd do is stop Xymon, move the histlogs to a folder in /opt, remove the original folder, and soft-link the new folder to the old folder name/location.

Hi, we have xymon 4.2.2 installed on rhel 5.2 box in /extra which is about to become full and we don't want to delete any logs from histlogs. Can we change the location of storing of data directory of xymon server but at the same time, we should be able to acess all history. How it can be done? We have enough space in /opt. Can anybody help with this? -akshar.

This is repeatable in that it happens for several hosts in xymon – but not the same host/test pair consistently, and I can acknowledge other things while it is not finding this cookie. Dear All, Can someone explain why, if i make a monitor with values like: A : 10 B : 20 C : 15 The rrd graph of this test records as the 'curr' value for example: A : 10.2 (curr) B: 17.5 (curr) C: 14.2 (curr) Does RRD generate a kind of expected average ? I would expect the 'curr' values to be the exact value of the last report of the test. "xymond" column is blank/dash

I may have narrowed this problem down a bit. The XYMSERVERS setting had IP address for server1 and then server2. If I take out server1's IP address on server2, I start getting xymond status updates and it goes green. I'll play a bit more to see if changing the order (keeping both addresses) will also work OK. It's as if the xymond status is only using the first of these addresses and not notifying both servers. This seems like a bug to me. I was hoping to be able to keep the xymonserver.cfg file identical between the two servers.
