check time drifting on windows hosts

Hello. Is there a way of checking for time drift on windows hosts (using bbwin) in xymon? I can see that on linux hosts this is a part of the cpu test, you can see how far off the time is between the monitored host and the xymon server. In my case, the Xymon server is also the NTP source for my company and I want to know if servers are not within around 10-15 seconds from that time. best regards, Larus Rafn

Need help to configure ssh test

Hello, I hope I am sending this question to the correct list. I've been trying to setup a basic network test (ssh) for a multihomed server in such a way that the connection test goes to IP "A" and the SSH test is performed on IP "B" This is how my bb-hosts line looks: 1.2.3.4 sever.domain.com # conn=worst,10.20.30.40 ssh:25052 at 10.20.30.40 If I read the MAN page for bb-hosts correctly this should work, but on the xymon logs I see this: 2011-04-06 22:16:56 WARNING: Could not bind to source IP 10.20.30.40 for test (null): Cannot assign requested address. Can someone kindly explain what I am doing wrong? We are running Xymon 4.2.3 Thanks in advance for your help, ~Alex

I try this new client, but I get error. I have try IP address and dns name entry, same result. Try it on windows 7 x64. RRDtool include- or library-files not found.

You need to ensure the headers are there, whereever they are: use something like rpm -ql rrdtool-whatever-it-is If no headers there is probably an rrd-devel package - I'm not using redhat so don't know exactly. Anyway the rpm -ql gives you the lib and .h locations. Hi All, I am using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.5. I installed rrdtool-1.0.50 successfully with steps(#./configure, # make, # make install). Similarly i installed pcre-8.12 successfully with steps(#./configure, # make, # make install). Finally once i try to install xymon-4.2.3 with first step $ ./configure Following error showing: Checking for RRDtool ... RRDtool include- or library-files not found. Serious trouble, red after yellow didn't page at all tonight

Yesterday we had a red after yellow page all the way up the hierarchy immediately. Today we had a red after yellow not page at ALL. It did page in BB (test is going to both servers during this test period. monitoring map drive

Hi all, I want to know how to monitoring map drive with bbwin. I see :  <setting name="remote" value="false" /> But, doesn't work when I change the setting name and value. I know local drives are automatically add to xymon. If someone use this feature, help will be welcome. Thx David Raymond

alert question - duration?

We had an alert that was yellow for several hours, then turned red. It immediately paged *all* the way up the food chain. The rules seem to be correct, see tests below; "alert1" through "alert4" are SMS aliases. Does length of time an alert is yellow count towards the duration when it turns red? And if so, can I change this, and/or is there a better way? In this case, it was a disk filling up... disks can often stay yellow for several hours. Having a disk go from 94% full to 95% is something we want to alert the tech on duty about, but not wake everyone up for. Hi, I'm about to install the new 4.3.2 version. I got some old xymon install notes that said these are the required dependencies. Is this list correct for Solaris 10?
