I cannot think of any reason why it would take so long to have the setup completed. Hello, i receive the follow alert from xymonnet col WARNING: Runtime 402 longer than time limit (300) Before this when I try load any col, appeared, cannot load the host file, I restart the xymon server and now work okay but appear this alert, what can be? And how can I fix? Hi Can anyone please give me an example of a more complicated alerts.cfg? I need to just see how the structure looks. I can't seem to get the group/page alerts working, not sure if you need to just specify PAGE= or PAGE= and HOST= both. I know there's just something I'm missing. Thanks

Conn Alert after one missed packet

Hello list, Is it possible to be alerted when one single packet is lost i.e. conn request does not receive a reply for the first packet? I know the default fping sends out 3 packets when if the conn request does not receive a reply after a set period. Looking at the fping man page, I've changed the fping syntax to "fping -A -e -r1", but this will still send one additional ping packet before an alert is raised. Alternatively I could look at creating a custom script, but obviously it's easier if this facility is already built-in somehow. Thanks, Mario

Hi, On every change I do in hosts.cfg, I need to restart xymon service. This cause me lot of work, cause all my test (blue) came back in red... and send alerts. Someone have same as me ? David Raymond

How long are you waiting after making changes to hosts.cfg? It may take a couple of minutes, especially if you are adding new hosts.
