Does anyone know if there is a hobbit/bbwin/xymon client for MAC's? If there is can someone point me in the right direction. Compile 4.3.0-beta2 Solaris 8

I can´t compile Xymon 4.3.0-beta2 in solaris8. If you try to visit the Xymon project page on Sourceforge at http://sourceforge.net/projects/hobbitmon/ you'll get a "404 Page not found" result. This is not because Xymon is dead. It is because Sourceforge has finally been nudged into renaming the project from "hobbitmon" to "xymon". It only took a few years to get them to do that ... Depends Question

Hey all, I'm trying to get depends working, but it's not working the way I expect it to. <bb-hosts snippet> 10.18.16.172 standby # conn testip depends=(conn:eto/conn) 10.18.16.174 eto # conn ssh snmp testip eto is currently red, but standby, which is down as well, is also red. anything specific wrong with my depends statement? Any reason why conn wouldn't be able to depend on something else? Thanks! --Patrick

CPU, Disk and memory message format to obtain valuable Graphs

Hello, I am developing another windows client based on the nagios nrpe plugin. The script is based on the checkwin monitor that you can find in http://code.google.com/p/checkwin/ Tests are going well but I have a problem with the graphs that are generated for the disks, cpu and memory values. Can anyone help me with the format that I have to send to the xymon server? I don't know on which parameters the rrd files are generated for these particular tests. Thanks in advance Bart Gillis

The idea is good but there is resources needed to convert hobbit client into java. Who are going to do it ? Back to the existing hobbit client implementation. I do have concerns about hobbitclient-OS??.sh shell script's programming style. There is no check return status of system command it call and there is no error handling when system command faild. Multi-rrd graphs

Hi all OK, I am probably pushing the envelope here, but maybe it's possible. Lets assume I am collecting data about some disks. Or maybe we don't assume. I am doing it. As data, I am collecting % Cache hits % Reads % Writes Using split NCV, I get a bunch of files. cache,vol01.rrd cache,vol02.rrd cache,vol03.rrd cache,vol04.rrd read,vol01.rrd read,vol02.rrd read,vol03.rrd read,vol04.rrd write,vol01.rrd write,vol02.rrd write,vol03.rrd write,vol04.rrd Using the standard graph definitions, I can get all the cache values on one graph, all the read values on another etc. etc. Is there a way to group them by the volume name? So I end up with a graph of cache, read and write for vol1 on one graph. The cache, read and write for vol1 on another etc. etc. Of course, in reality, I have far more than vol01-04, and they are not all volXX either, so hard coding the hobbitgraph.cfg entry isn't an option.
