I just noticed that all the memory trending graphs for Windows machines are broken. They just show zero's all across the board. Is this a known problem, or is something broken in my setup? Thanks, Larry Barber

CPU warning after reboot

First, i realize that this alert function probably carried over from BB. It's a handy alert to have for any monitored client that inadvertently reboots. Is there any way to configure this check for those occassions when the the reboot is planned? For example, we schedule maintenace on 30 systems. Works great, howeer as each system recovers from the required reboot (or is powered back on), we have 60 minutes of email warnings in the case when we actually alert for CPU (Windows systems here). it's easy enough to acknowledge the reboot in the event that the technicians aren't trying to resurrect the one system that failed to recover. In the case where we don't alert on CPU at all (most Unix systems), we don't have an acknowledgement code to relieve the warning. The problem here is that our customer support group sees the web display and automatically thinks we're not aware of what might have been a potential problem. Any thoughts?

Hi peter, I have tried most of the applications on pippen but still I will need "the master " to give a hand. I wonder if you stay here after the meeting to finish the configuration. The BTW is one of the point but we have to analyse but there are few more. I guesst that Susan want us to put the server up and running in the next couple of days to make samwise taking over darwing. Compiling hobbit snapshot on Redhat ES3U3

When I try to configure the snapshot release I get the following error. Checking for RRDtool ... cc1: unrecognized option `-Wno-strict-aliasing' make: *** [test-compile] Error 1 Not RRDtool 1.0.x, checking for 1.2.x cc1: unrecognized option `-Wno-strict-aliasing' make: *** [test-compile] Error 1 ERROR: RRDtool include files found in /usr/local/rrdtool-1.0.49/include, but compile fails. Is this because its the snapshot ?

Hello, We have started the process of defining and adding alerts to Hobbit. The first part of this is to add downtimes. No point in people getting needless pages. I have added DOWNTIME tags to some servers, and it appears in the info page quite nicely as "Planned downtime:Sunday:2100:2300", which is perfect. On another host, we had put in a DESCR previously as a test, and removed it today when I put in the DOWNTIME tag. Now, on the info tab for that system, it did remove the Description, but is not putting the DOWNTIME tag in the same place as the other "working" downtime tags. However, on the bottom of this page, it has "Other tags:ftp telnet DOWNTIME:0:1930:2000", so I'm assuming that Hobbit knows about the downtime. This is more of an inconsistency which will be pointed out rapidly here, so I have two questions: 1. Does Hobbit know that this is the planned downtime for this system, even though it does not display a "Planned Downtime" line on the info page, but catches it on the "other tags" line? I want to make sure someone doesn't get a page during a planned downtime. 2. Is there a way to get this to be consistent across info pages? I like that it shows you planned downtime right above the alerts, and the people here that will be looking at it will be looking in the same place (hard to get them to look further :-().
