Hello, I want to graph the load information of my routers interfaces, I have been reading for several days the list, and I have learned a lot but not enough yet to make this works :-)... This is the situation: I receive the information from devmon, and execute an external script to write the rrd file. The files are written but I can not see them from the hobbit page. I have the rrd files generated and updated but in the hobbit page I only can see the links and no graph (not an empty or blank graph, only the little box with the name of the link inside). I'm using devmon 0.3.0-beta2 and hobbit 4.2 with the patch all in one installed. OS: Linux kernel 2.6.9 Other graphs work fine, the default ones, for example the Conn graph. The information from devmon is received ok by hobbit, because I have a table with the load of the interfaces that devmon sent. Hobbit not installed properly on solaris

Hi, I want to setup hobbit for monitoring. I installed all the necessary components on the system. Embedding RRD HTML code in status message

Devmon issue

This is really a devmon issue, but I think it will probably bite other folks here sooner or later, so here it is. I've been trying to set up a template to get information from some Windows servers, and it turns out that the string I get back for the ifDescr oid (.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2) contains a null byte. The problem with that is that the interface name is being sent on to Hobbit, complete with the null byte. Hobbit interprets the null byte as end-of-message within a combo stream and chops off the rest of the message. If I were a Perl programmer I could probably fix it, but I'm not so I'm working around it by simply not including the interface names in the message. I don't know if the same thing will affect *all* character strings coming from a Windows server, but I expect I'll find out soon enough. So, if some kind soul can figure out where to patch devmon to remove the null, it would certainly help me, and probably other folks too. Thanks, Ralph Mitchell
