Hobbit, BBwin-0.9 and the ports column...

Hello all - In looking at the client data generated by BBWin-0.9 I see that the port usage information is sent to the Hobbit server. Is there anyway to get this data displayed in the current ports column (populated by the hobbit client)? As its coming over the client channels I can create a custom server script to push the data into a new column but I'd kinda like to not have to do that... Hi. Spaces are ignored in variable names, so your bladecentervolts would be; NCV_bladecentervolts="Volts:GAUGE" Only A-z and 0-9 are allowed in names, no underscores etc. So basicly your option is to use a special name for each of the voltage you want to monitor in the graph and then rename them in hobbitgraphs.cfg for fancyness. As far as I know about letters in datastream, I think it ignores it and just yanks the value .. you could of course change your script to include a space between the wattage value and the letter W to be on the safe side. and HOW do I know all of this? My first time setup for a custom RRD graph over here aswell ... I can get all the values into RRD files pretty easy, but I just can't seem to get the graphs on the website .... I guess the other way is to understand how to modify my .sh scripts so that it could be captured by rrd. But I don't know where to start since I never used rrd before, hense why I wanted to use cacti. Can anyone suggest any "easy reading" materials that might help me go along doing this? Hi. I run a couple of hobbit servers only on VMWare machines with 256MB of dedicated RAM. That seems to be plenty for me, so basicly anything goes so long as you can configure the linux system to work properly. Hi. Did you configure the clients properly? That is, did you configure the correct IP address in the config files? Also, is there a firewall blocking this anywhere? As for the port, you can change that in hobbitserver.cfg file. Just remember to restart the hobbit server. And do tell the clients to send to that port. RRDTool not able to install properly

Hi, I want to setup hobbit for monitoring. I installed all the component except RRDTool. I have downlaoded 1.2.23 and have sun solaris 5.8. (I need that version only, not able to upgrade it to higher version!! ). i am using GNU make 3.81 while i tried to run ./configure command it runs properly. but problem came while i tried to run make command. trap column not showing up

I am having an issue with getting the trap column to show up on a host. I have everything setup the way the documentation said to. And all of my log files are logging except for the trap.log, which looks to be generated when the hobbitlaunch.cfg is ran. Anyone have anything that might be able to help me? Thanks

I've installed the Hobbit server on Linux and the Hobbit client on a Linux and Windows but informations seems not to be sent to the server. I guess I did something wrong because, except the local hobbit server itself, where "bbd" is green, anywhere else is `Service unavailable (Connection refused)` with bbd is red. Of course, I started the client with runclient.sh Also, I have servers who runs old BigB clients on port 1985 instead of 1984, where I could specify the different port?
