Buchan Mine, Thanks a lot for the rpm and the repo. It worked perfect on my virtual centos release 5.5 I am wondering if you have a mirror repo as well, just in case. Alerting when "dialup" host from clear to green

I have this host: 172.16.10.49 foo.bar.com # testip dialup Which is only used when a device fails to find a DHCP server. Is there any way to be alerted when this goes from clear to green? COLOR does not accept green and RECOVERED it seems is only from red to green (we all know about the yellow to green "bug"). ASP.NET Application Specific Performance Counter Script.

Hi All I booked in the second script on the xymonton. Please have a look if you need to monitor a ASP.NET application. A Third script will follow shortly for overall ASP.Net Health. Once again the script is working on our production site here and it has been usefull to determine loads. However you will need to modify it for your specific application. Plenty of instructions and graph definitions have been included. Regards Neil

BBWin central mode - cannot get log filtering to work

I sent this message to the BBWin mailing list several days ago and have not gotten a response there. I hope to find an audience here. I've got a bunch of machines reporting to my Xymon 4.3 server, of which a large percentage are Windows, running BBWin 0.12 in local mode. I want to convert everything to central mode, but I cannot seem to get the log filtering to work. I'm starting with my Exchange 2003 server, on 32-bit Windows 2003 SP2. I took a look through the trunk source code for msgs.dll, but found my meager C++ skills quickly overwhelmed and I was not able to follow it. Does anyone have a working BBWin/Xymon 4.3 central mode config with log filtering that they can share? I'd like the logs filtered before they get to Xymon, and from what I understand, if I use the IGNORE syntax in hobbit-clients.cfg, it has to transfer all log entries to the server. Windows is notorious for spamming the event log with useless informational messages when there's a problem, so it might exceed the buffer size and cause me to miss events if they are not filtered first. Hi! Are there any way to make XYmon run scripts on clients depending on alerts? I'm monitoring a bunch of services on windows 2003/2008 servers running bbwin, and I would like to run different scripts depending on which service is failing. Instead of just restarting the service, I would like to run a script to take care of the real reason of the failure.
