Henrik, I just ran into this same problem last week regarding Solaris clients and extra ifstat interfaces from the kstat output from the xymonclient-sunos.sh script http://www.xymon.com/archive/2009/06/msg00204.html I was thinking it would be good to add the fix referenced for 4.3 :-) Thanks, -- Brian Majeska

regarding sending sms alerts with xymon

Hi, we have xymon 4.2.2 on RHEL 5.3 OS installed for cluster with 32 nos of nodes for monitoring . We are trying to integrate sms alerts with xymon. We have sms server with smash and gnokii setup. 4.3.0 RC1 - Metrics Report

Anyone else having problems getting a the Metrics Report to display a graph with multiple hosts on it? I get a broken link for the graph for CPU, RAM, Ping, etc... It works for singles hosts, just not when multiple hosts are selected. - Brian Majeska

I try to install from scratch on Ubuntu 10.10 with apt-get install hobbit The same result is there. I think the error is in "CMD $BBHOME/bin/bbcombotest" Can someone verified on his side ? I have a mrtg config in my tasks.cfg but my mrtg graphs are no longer updating and they are not even logging any errors when I run it manully it works fine. # Include add-on modules. Problem with DISK IGNORE

Hi All, Hoping someone can help with this issue. I am attempting to use the DISK drive IGNORE statement in the /home/hobbit/server/etc/hobbit-clients.cfg file but I cannot get it to work. I have read the man pages and the previous posts in the list but none of them work. Here are the entries I have and the ones I have tried (note that the LOG entries work perfectly!): HOST=hostname.fake.com DISK /mnt/citrix IGNORE LOG /var/log/mrtg.log %ERROR:.* COLOR=red LOG /var/log/hobbit/citrixlicensing.log %mount:.* COLOR=red LOG /var/log/hobbit/kms.log %mount:.* COLOR=red LOG /var/log/hobbit/iorepl.log %mount:.* COLOR=red DEFAULT # These are the built-in defaults. After debugging together with some colleagues, I found a solution for this problem. In the source code of report.c and snapshot.c (in the map ./web) there is a declaration in the main function: "char htmldelim[20];". In the same main function we can find: " sprintf(htmldelim, "xymonrep-%u-%u", (int)getpid(), (unsigned int)getcurrenttime(NULL));" Because the size of "char htmldelim[20];" is not sufficient enough (requires around 25 or so) this process will crash. I changed this char value into 100 and after a "make && make install" command the issue seems to be resolved! All graph titles missing

I just did a fresh install of 4.3.0-RC1 last night and copied over just my custom graph definitions from hobbitgraphs.cfg. The graph data itself looks great, and I am getting all of my original graphs. The problem is that I don't see anything in the title areas around the graphs. Has anybody seen anything like that? I am sure it's something I did in the upgrade, but I can't find anything like it in the docs. -dan
