Hi all Can anybody tell me the current status of Windows clients for Xymon? Is BBWin still the best we have? I remember seeing somebody on the list working on a new Windows client. Where are we on that? Regards Vernon

Release candidate available for 4.3.0

Hi, I have just finished uploaded the 4.3.0 release-candidate to Sourceforge. It is available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/xymon/files/Xymon/xymon-4.3.0-RC1.tar.gz/do… (note that if you go to the "Files" section, it is at the BOTTOM of the page since I didn't create a folder for it). To the best of my knowledge, this has fixes for all of the bugs that have been reported in beta-3. I encourage everyone to try it out, and send reports about their success and/or bugs here to the mailinglist. If all goes well, a final release will happen in February. Regards, Henrik

bb-hosts to hosts.cfg

Is there a way to convert old configuration-files to new files. like bb-hosts -> host.cfg I copied bb-hosts to hosts.cfg and all I get are a column withe red connections. Hi My xymon server has a strange behaviour.I have a host called tata running SSLed services. The tests are all OK. But when I go to sslcert test page, I see the information from another host (called toto). Their SSL certificates are differents, and all my other hosts have their own SSL informations. The host toto is the xymon server itself, running xymon-4.3.0-beta3 client and server. The host 'tata' is running xymon 4.2.2. Thank for any help. Regards, Damien

Ghost report from 127.0.0.1

Hi. We have recently migrated to Xymon 4.3.0 beta3 from 4.2.3. I now see the Xymon server under "Ghost reports": Ghost reports: 127.0.0.1 reported host mon I can't find what causes this. The status updates as it should for the Xymon server. We use fqdn in all config files and hosts.cfg, so it seems like this is somehow using the hostname in the OS (hostname should be "mon.domain.com", not "mon"). But I can't find any processes or similar that are related to this. I have not been able to find any scripts that are setup wrong either. Are ghost clients logged somewhere? It is a source-install on Debian Lenny. Does anyone know what might cause this? It's no major issue since all monitoring works correctly, but it's annoying to have it there. /Johan

Monitoring /tmp usage

Okay, so DISK is not impressed with me and just monitoring the physical disk. I am running a client on a remote VPS, and would like to keep an eye on its /tmp, but not sure how or where to define that. Or if? Any tips appreciated.
