no answer ? I want to find a way to get the list of all available trends to generate a report. Right now I 'm parsing the html. None that I know of, however for each host, you can tell the alerts under the info dot. Issues after upgrade from 4.2.3 to 4.3.5

Just to complete the loop here, the 4.3.6 upgrade fixed all the issues I was seeing. Guess whatever was fixed with the host loading fixed my issues. I have had no luck using client-local.cfg to ignore eventlog messages. Here is the ugliness that I am using to ignore that mass quantities of garbage coming from our M$ servers. Why did you escape the . ? If you remove the \ in front of the ., it might work better. I don't think you need to specify greediness either. In other projects we tend to be very suspicious of unqualified .+ expansions, as they can consume a lot of memory. make install overwrites xymon-apache.conf (and creates unnecessary bak files)

On the latest trunk, a make install overwrites xymon-apache.conf without either merging in my additions to it, or making a backup of the existing file. This resulted in me losing the additions that I made to it on Monday. Rather annoying. This appears to be the line in the make install output that is so offensive :p cd etcfiles; cp -fp xymon-apache.conf /usr/local/hobbit/server/etc/xymon-apache.conf It seems some other configuration files have this kind of thing: cd etcfiles; ../../build/merge-sects graphs.cfg /usr/local/hobbit/server/etc/graphs.cfg cd etcfiles; ../../build/merge-lines columndoc.csv /usr/local/hobbit/server/etc/columndoc.csv ...which presumably does some merging. Can we get this on xymon-apache too? I was actually going to submit my changes to xymon-apache.conf for possible inclusion in the trunk source - so I'll redo my changes now... This release is mostly a bug-fix release, although it also does include a few new features - most notable is perhaps the new "appfeed" utility to provide data for Xymon smartphone apps. I do not expect any more releases in the 4.3.x series, unless a critical bug is found. Work is now beginning on the 4.4 series, with the focus currently being on IPv6 support. How to increase max message size

I have a few hosts that are sending large status messages and am getting: 2011-12-11 20:16:24 Oversize status msg from 64.94.253.22 for host.company.com:ports truncated (n=340208, limit=262144) I've tried increasing MAXLINE in xymonserver.cfg, but that does not seem to have fixed the issue. Where can I increase this, as I'm sick of seeing xymond being yellow all the time. Thanks! Skadz

Hi all, I've noticed that when windows services flag as red the message is a little misleading POS_4_341647 is started/automatic - want started/automatic I've checked this service and it's state is actually stopped/automatic. Is there a way to get the message to correctly reflect this? I'm running the client in central mode so I'm not sure if this is a BBWIN issue or a Xymon issue.
