hello I'm trying to graph the qos of my cisco devices. For the moment I can get this information : Policy Name Policy direction Policy interface Class map name Post policy MBits/s rate I would like to have one graph by Policy interface and graph the Post policy MBits/s rate for each Class map name on the same graph. Class map name is not defined. The number of Class map name can change. help need :) oau

temperature.sh reports Unknown OS

Hello all I've been trying for a while to find a solution in the archives but i wasn't able, so here's the problem: I have 2 Dell PE 1850 servers running CentOS with hobbit client installed. I want to monitor the clients using omreport sending the results to Hobbit server. I am trying as a start to check the temperature using the temperature.sh script from deadcat. When i try to run it, it returns Unknown OS. Then i tried to run openmanage.sh and it reports omreport command not found. I am using Administrators Version 6.4 Any ideas? Thanks!

Hostbased override values hobbit-clients.cfg

Hi there, I've got one problem with the hobbit-clients.cfg At the top of this file, defaults are defined: DEFAULT LOAD 3.0 7.0 DISK * 86 92 [... and others ...] Below there are single hosts defined (mostly PROC checking), the defaults for LOAD and DISK were fine for all monitored Hosts over the last years(!! ;) ), but now, I want to monitor bigger storage spaces, where a notify level of 86% means 5 or so TB free, which is much too early ... , so I've added the following: HOST=thisbiggerstorage.fqdn.tld DISK /data 95 98 But, this value is never used, the /data Mountpoints warnlevel stays at 86% For other Hosts, I've tried the very same with the LOAD keyword, because these hosts utilize a lot of cores and can go upto 16 without any problem. But the very same: the new value is never getting uses. 3.0 / 7.0 from the DEFAULT section stays... Restarting the hobbit server processes don't show up any effect. Could someone please shed some light on what am I doing wrong? Thanks! monitoring listen local socket

Hello all, I´m monitoring some Dell hardware with devmon but my temperature graphs do not show on display not even has a broken URL. Does anyone know if there is some patch in order to get this working? I´m running xymon 4.3.0 beta. Best regards, Mario.

fi, i am using xymon 4.2.2. I want that each client should show msgs red if lockup word comes in /var/log/messages. I have configured following in following files on xymon server : ~xymon/server/etc/client-local.cfg -> [linux] log:/var/log/messages:10240 ignore MARK trigger lockup ~xymon/server/etc/hobbit-clients.cfg DEFAULT # These are the built-in defaults. UP 1h LOAD 18.0 20.0 DISK * 90 95 MEMPHYS 100 101 MEMSWAP 50 80 MEMACT 90 97 PROC cron PROC /opt/PBS/bin/myscript.sh LOG /var/log/messages lockup COLOR=red i get lockup messages in msgs; but color is still green. How to change the color?

Question about the new rrddefinitions.cfg file

I want to be able to handle 5 minutes of data for the rrd files for the entire 288 days. I used the following in the new RC1 definitions file. # 576 datapoints w/ 5 minute interval = 48 hours @ 5 min avg. RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:82944 # 576 datapoints w/ 6*5 minute averaged = 12 days @ 5 min avg. RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:6:82944 # 576 datapoints w/ 24*5 minute averaged = 48 days @ 5 min avg. RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:24:82944 # 576 datapoints w/ 288*5 minute averaged = 576 days @ 5 min avg. RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:288:82944 After only a couple of days, it looks like I am only getting 20 minute averages on the 48 and 576 day average. Is my calculation wrong? I used 288X24X12 to come up with the 82944. My assumption is that I need that value for all 4 positions. Thank you, Tom

Solaris msgs alert not clearing

I'm having a problem with a Solaris client. A msgs alert was triggered over 2 hours ago, and it still has not cleared, even though no new alert-worthy messages have appeared in the message log. Has anybody else seen this behavior? I'm running a 4.2.0 server, I'm not sure what the version of the client is since I don't have access to the box involved (Henrik, it might be a good idea to include the Hobbit client version in the client data). Hi, On Xymon 4.2.2, I would to know if I can add wildcard in client-local.cfg like this : [machi*] log:/var/log/messages:10240 Or, at least, [machine1,machine2,machine3,machine4] log:/var/log/messages:10240 Thanks by advance.
