Hello All, I'm getting random DNS errors on URL's from Hobbit. There appears to be nothing wrong with DNS. This is causing pages on production systems, and I'm getting complaints from folks. I really need a work around for this. Thanks....James

Hello guys, I have a issue with devmon. I have migrated my server devmon 7.10 to 8.04 Since this last update, devmon don't work : ( I have reinstall Devmon (tar.gz) + SNMP_Session-1.12.tar.gz ; but without succes and when I execute this command : root at serverhobbit# ../../bin/bbcmd 2008-08-27 08:58:26 Using default environment file /home/hobbit/server/etc/ hobbitserver.cfg sh-3.2# ./devmon -f -p -vvvvvvvvvvvvv Use of uninitialized value in scalar chomp at /home/users/hobbit/application/server/ext/devmon/modules/dm_config.pm line 272. But these commands work very well : ./devmon --readbbhosts -vvv ./devmon --readbbhosts -vvvvvvvv --debug Do you have any idea for help to solve my issue ? hobbit-clients.cfg not recognizing DISK /autoyast IGNORE

I'm having an issue w/ hobbit-clients.cfg not working w/ DISK /xxxx IGNORE... I've tried the following, none of which end up ignoring /autoyast.... Anybody have any ideas? hobbitd_rrd problem (core)

Hi everyone I not sure about the meaning of the hobbit colors. green - all ok yellow - warning red - wrong purple - hobbit server doesn´t receive any data since ¿?¿? minutes. white - ?? blue - disabled Im right ? regards!!

hobbit and ssl compilation problem

Hi, I tried to install hobbit server on a centos5 host. I installed gcc gcc-c++ pcre-devel libpng-devel openssl-devel openldap-devel rrdtool-devel and for ssl check when running configure. I got this lines in the Makefile OpenSSL settings SSLFLAGS = -DBBGEN_SSL SSLINCDIR = -I/usr/include SSLLIBS = -L/usr/lib -lssl -lcrypto RPATHVAL += /usr/lib but after the make, make install process the following command su - hobbit ./server/bin/bbtest-net --version bbtest-net version 4.2.0 show ssl support is not provided by hobbit. Any idea where it's coming from ? Thanks for your help, Kenji

Henrik, Best wishes for your operation and the period of recovery. Above all do what the doctors say! That's why they get the big bucks! I can't even imagine 2 to 4 weeks without reading, computers, or driving. Now to the grand renaming debate. The last time I mentioned that I had another candidate, but I was waiting to see if the domain names were going to expire. Alas, they did not. The name I had in mind was "Sysdar", being short for "Systems Radar" - but phonetically also rather neat, since it brings in memories of "Big Sister" and hence "Big Brother". It didn't quite work out. That doesn't mean I'll scratch that idea completely - it's still a good name, and there are no trademark registrations or anything else indicating that the name is used at all, so we could just work it out with a different domain name (e.g. sysdar.eu or sysdar.dk). My favourite right now is G-lance. I've noted that HP has the "GlancePlus" software, but I hope that won't be a problem due to the explicit dash and therefore the very different pronounciation. "hobbitmon" and "hobbeat" are outsiders. I'd have to get an OK for those from the Tolkien lawyers, and I am a bit sceptical about them accepting either. Also, I think they are OK names for people who know what Hobbit is about - but they have no meaning what so ever to new users (or PHB's). Nothing's going to change (obviously) for the next few weeks, so feel free to voice opinions and/or come up with good ideas until then. Hobbit patch for highlighting of lines (used in blue theme)

Here is my suggested patch for 4.2.0 of hobbit to allow for highlighting of lines when mouse-over. This is a fairly simple change to 1 file (pagegen.c).
