Problem resolved...adding eventid="" worked as it was using ALL failed security events instead of specific ones. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

BBWin Event Log Count

Hi, I am trying to filter Security based events based upon the number of times they show up in Event logs. My current line is as follows: <match logfile="Security" type="fail" count="5" alarmcolor="red" /> This is the first "Security" related entry in the <msgs> section. It is not filtering based on the count and is including every failure that occurs. Can anybody shed some light on this? Thanks, Michael

Jmx Weblogic Monitoring ?

Hi Has anyone done any jmx monitoring for Hobbit ? I want to monitor Weblogic, already created a script to monitor JMS Destination Queue's using groovy and bash I found the beastat on sourceforge but that hasn't been updated since 2006. Regards, Steinar

Been banging my head for a couple of hours, so thought I would post. I've built a Xymon 4.3.0 rpm for Mandriva. Installed it on a fresh clean install of Corporate Server 4. But I can't get any of the cgi-bin files to execute - they attempt to download, and download nothing. In my error_log I get: [Fri Feb 20 17:46:07 2009] [notice] Apache/2.2.3 (Mandriva Linux/WORKER-1.4.20060mlcs4) configured -- resuming normal operations [Fri Feb 20 17:46:19 2009] [notice] child pid 28818 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) If I try to download the file, it is zero length. wget just gets miffed. Nothing shows up in access_log. So, I know I'm dealing with a really easy apache problem, but I'm out of clues. I've tried using SetHandler and AddHandler. Might I be missing a package? Or??? Graphing Question

Hi All Quick one. I am running a vbs script called IIS health Check on my WIndooz machine. It produces a file which is place in the bbwin\tmp directory and picked up and sent to the XyMon Server. XyMon then displays the values with a nice graph. The file looks like this: <start> green 2009/02/19 03:18:56 PM IIS Health Check: &green Connections: 120 &green RequestsQueued: 10 &green Sessions: 20 <end> Now I produced a exe which reads performance counter does the same thing as the IIS check i.e it produces a file called msdiskperf in the BBwin\tmp directory. However there is no graph. The file looks like this: <start> green 2009/02/19 01:33:56 PM MS Disk Check: &green Avg. Disk Queue Length 2.5 &green Avg. Disk Sec/Read 10 &green Avg. Disk Sec/Write 0.1 &green % Disk Time 24 <end> What do I need to do to include a graph based on the data? Anyone have some ideas? The data does get to XyMon there is just no graph. Regards Neil

I am retrieving the data from a MS SQL Server database and then sending it along to hobbit directly to the TCP port. I have three devices, and only one works. However, the data is sent exactly the same way for all three. Also, I can't figure out how to create the graph so that it displays the current, max, min and avg numbers on the bottom and draws a line for the current value. One other question: While sending the alerts to Hobbit, where is the time stamp derived from? (i.e. x-axis). Ideally, I would like to supply this in the actual message because the data I am receiving could be minutes or hours old and shouldn't use the current time.
