Hello, I wish monitored sharing NFS on my servers like classic disks. What is the best way to monitored NFS and apply the thresholds? And how to proceed to monitored that ? When I define the share NFS on "localclient.cfg", it doesn't work. DISK /mnt/test 70 95 I have try yet "rpc=nfs" in bb-hosts, but don't have graph and alerts. xymon 4.2.2/Solaris 10/ifstat "mac" interface

Hi, The kstat command issued by xymon is generating a network statistic called "mac" which gives exactly the same stat than the driver/ instanciated one (bge0 in my case). This is annoying for two reasons : - this lead to confusion - too many "RRD error updating blabla/ifstat.mac.rrd from blabla : illegal attempt to update using time 123 when last update time is 123 (minimum one second step) I'd appreciate any help Nicolas

Hi, Can we generate the hobbit report based on the time duration for a month. For example. I need the report from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM only for a month. How can we achieve this? Please advise on this at the earliest. -- With Regards Pushpalatha

This issue has probably been there for a while. Looking further, the main page shows "Xymon 4.2.3-RC1", so do sub pages. bb2.html shows "link bb_footer", so do the reports. Sub pages like "oracle" are generated every minute, along with bb2.html, so I am not sure what is broken. Craig

Move to Xymon, info tab no longer works

I just finally upgraded to the most recent Xymon 4.3.0-0.20090209 from a hobbit 4.2.0 install and just about everything seems to be working, except for the info tab. If I click, I get the "Internal Server Error" error. Not bbgen itself, as you said you get "Status not available", which is not a static html page from bbgen, but usually from bb-hostsvc.sh (calling hobbitsvc.cgi). You may first want to deteremine whether the cgi is timing out speaking to hobbitd, or if there is some other problem. > Mine was a bbdisplay and bbnet on the same server. Yes, in my production environment, problems with hobbitd on the RHEL5 x86_64 box would not result in any noticeable problems, but again, my workstation doesn't exhibit this problem (and I usually have about 10 tabs open on different hobbit pages, including static and cgi ones, looking at my workstation's hobbit install). link bb_footer missing

On report pages (and bb2.html) I get this showing: link bb_footer Ghost clients page is all blue, not the usual blue on the side. I suspect I have a permission problem somewhere but am not sure where... My apache error log shows this: [Mon Feb 16 16:02:28 2009] [error] [client 10.12.33.5] File does not exist: /export/xymon/server/www/hobbit, referer: http://xymon.example.com/xymon-cgi/hobbi t-ghosts.sh [Mon Feb 16 16:02:28 2009] [error] [client 10.12.33.5] File does not exist: /export/xymon/server/www/hobbit, referer: http://xymon.example.com/xymon-cgi/hobbi t-ghosts.sh The file "/export/xymon/server/www/hobbit" does not exist, not sure why it is being called. Issue with Xymon 4.3 Beta Install

All, I am currently testing the new Xymon 4.3.0-0.20090209 release on a RHEL 4.6 x86_64 system. Although I have had no issues with the build, install or compile, I do have one major operational issue. When I go to the "info" column on my webpage for any of my monitored systems I get the "Internal Server Error" page. A further examination of my apache log file shows the following: error_log: [Tue Feb 17 09:31:59 2009] [error] [client 158.XXX.XX.XX] Premature end of script headers: bb-hostsvc.sh, referer: http://betaxymon/ I also saw this issue with the original trunk distribution. Additionally, I see the same issue when I go to "Reports" and select "Ghost Clients". Has anyone else seen these problem? Graphing only specific items in metrics report

Hi I want to find out if the following is possible: A server that is monitored, has 15 filesystems, all of them need to be monitored, but the customer isn't interested in the state of / or /var, but only in the production filesystems. How can I create a metrics report of only 3 of the 15 filesystems that is being monitored on the box? Would I need to create a separate monitoring group for these? I'm using hobbit 4.2.0 Thanks Stef
